Chapter 9
This incident would definitely impact the studio’s reputation. So, shelmaine immediately contacted her clients and personally explained the situation to them over the phone.
A few chose to believe her, but most didn’t want any trouble. So, she refunded the deposits where necessary, though she couldn’t pay any unfounded compensation.
Interestingly, the clients demanding compensation all seemed to be connected to Felicity. It was clear whose side they were on.
If it were just a typical situation, it would be easier to handle. But because of Natasha, there was no way to reconcile with Felicity.
It was obvious — Natasha had it out for shelmaine.
After days of being swamped with work, Shelmaine finally received a call from Isabelle. There was an update on the house–the prospective buyer was eager to visit as soon as possible.
Upon hearing this news, Shelmaine made time and went over to the house. However, it was only to find out that the person interested in the house was none other than Natasha,
Even Isabelle hadn’t expected this.
“What’s the matter? Surprised to see me? Natasha was impeccably dressed, and every item she wore screamed luxury. She raised her chin slightly, looking down on them.
Before Shelmaine could say a word, Isabelle furiously exclaimed, “You’ve got some nerve.”
“I know you’re best friends with Shelmaine But Isabelle, you’d better stay out of this,” Natasha sneered, completely dismissing Isabelle. It was clear she was here to humiliate
Shelmaine
Shelmaine held Isabelle back and turned to Natasha. “Are you planning to buy my house?”
“Why else would I be here?”
“Fine. Take a look around. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.”
Isabelle looked shocked and in disbellet.
This was Natasha! Even if she was genuinely interested in the house, her attitude today clearly indicated that she was here to cause trouble.
Natasha frowned but said nothing. Then, she began to explore the house.
Once she’d moved away far enough, Isabelle whispered, “You’re not seriously going to sell it to her, are you?”
“As long as she has the money, I don’t care who buys it” For Shelmaine, there was nothing about this place worth holding on to. If Natasha really wanted it, she could have it.” Who would say no to money?
“But it’s obvious that she’s just here to..” Isabelle started.
“I know. It’s fine I get what I want, and she gets what she wants,” Shelmaine’s voice was calm and devoid of any emotions.Property © NôvelDrama.Org.
However, her hand reached for her abdomen as she fell into deep thought
Isabelle added, “Then raise the price, I bet she’s getting the money from Samuel”
Samuel had always been generous with women, that much was true
After Natasha finished her tour, she walked over to Shemaine. “I take this house. The realtor will contact you l
later.”
“Sorry I’ve changed my mind. I’m not selling.” Shelmaine said.
“What? Are you messing with me?”
“It’s up to you to think what I’m up to,” Shelmaine candidly replied. “Believe it or not, I wanted to sell it a moment ago, but now I don’t.”
Natasha was furious. Then, upon remembering how shelmaine had insulted Samuel’s manhood before, her anger flared upeven more. “Shelmaine, you’re doing this on
“You can slander me, but I can’t retaliate? Shelmaine wasn’t one to be pushed around, especially by Natasha, who had been targeting her all this time. If she kept backing down, Natasha would only become more brazen,
“Fine, Shelmaine Just wait!” Natasha stormed out and slammed the door behind her.
Shelmaine let out a sigh of relief, but her face was still pale.
Isabelle hurried to support her, concerned. “You scared me half to death. I thought you were really going to sell it to her.”
“I was, but I changed my mind at the last second.”
“She’ll definitely run back to Samuel now. Do you think she’s asked him to confirm what you said last time? That Samuel isn’t up to the task?” Isabelle couldn’t help but laugh.
