Chapter 326

Chapter 326 Mocking

The route Damien took was the one Leah usually took.

“You know this route?” Clarissa asked.

“I’ve always known.”

It took Clarissa a few seconds of silence before she nodded.

Before, he used to bring her out during winter or holidays.

The streets were filled with huge crowds.

Spring was never this pretty.

“Do you want to go to the park?” Damien asked.

“Sure,” Clarissa said.

The park was free to the public, but Clarissa rarely went in.

She used to hang out around here with Zac, but that was before she became busy with work.

Plus, most of the people in the park were either the elderly or children. Most of the adults were too busy

at work.

“To Genovia Park?” Damien asked again.

“Is it far?”

“Not really.”

“What’s so special about it?”

“It’s the biggest park around here. There’s a small zoo, too.”

“Zoo?” Clarissa’s interest was obvious. “What animals do they have in there?”

“Crocodiles, lions, elephants, tigers and more.”

“Let’s go, then,” Clarissa said.

She never had the chance to go to zoos as a child. Zach had never brought her to one, either.

“We can go to the zoo first, and go boat rowing next. What do you think?”

“Yeah!” Clarissa clapped, delighted.

Damien couldn’t stop smiling over Clarissa’s childlike excitement.

He had never seen someone so easily satisfied.

That was when he realized they had never gone on a date.

At the zoo, Damien held hands with Clarissa.

Clarissa was attracted by the view of the park, and smiled all the way during their stroll.

This was probably the happiest she felt after her grandmother and mother passed away. “I want to post

this on my social media,” Clarissa said, and began taking pictures of her

surroundings.

Damien also took her to the lake, and bought a ticket to rent one of the boats.

This was an electronic boat so there was no need to row it manually. They just had to steer the

direction.

Clarissa sat next to Damien the entire time.

Damien controlled the boat as if he was driving a car. Everything seemed so natural to him.

“How did you know so much about this park?” Clarissa turned to face Damien. “Have you been here?”

“Yes.”

“With who?”

“Oh, I forgot.”

Clarisa sneered. It was impossible he couldn’t remember who he came with.

It was probably Madelynn.

But as Clarissa knew about their past, she didn’t mind much.

She spent the entire ride enjoying the view and ignoring Damien.

About forty minutes later, they got out of the boat. Damien brought Clarissa to the zoo.

When Clarissa saw the crocodile and wanted to get a closer look, the crocodile suddenly lifted its head,

scaring her.

She stepped backwards, bumping into Damien. Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org

Her timidness sent Damien laughing.

“I’m not afraid! It was the crocodile!” Clarissa was upset.

“Excuses.”

He then brought Clarissa to the snake area.

At first, she didn’t know where this was. Very quickly, she realized she was surrounded by transparent

boxes containing snakes. Instantly, a chill went down her spine and she broke into goosebumps.

“Let’s leave! Let’s go.” Clarissa pulled Damien’s hand and left the area in a hurry.

“Why did you bring me there?” Clarissa asked, annoyed.

“I thought you were brave. You even went to another country all by yourself,” Damien teased. Clarissa

immediately realized that Damien was mocking her.
