Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 318

Chapter 318

Chapter 318 Until Damien Came Home At around four in the evening…

Someone knocked on Clarissa‘s door. It was Luke.

He had a huge parcel in his hands. The moment he stepped into the apartment, his gaze swept over

the surroundings, and he seemed to mumble to himself, “Damn these rich people!”

Clarissa knew nothing good could come froin Luke‘s visit. Mrs. Faber was supposed to be grocery

shopping at this hour, but Clarissa had stopped her. She asked Mrs. Faber to watch out for Luke.

“This is for you.” Luke threw the parcel onto the sofa and started walking around the apartment.

Clarissa shot Mrs. Faber a look. The latter took the vacuum cleaner and trailed Luke, vacuuming after

him with every step he took. “What is it?” Clarissa opened the parcel. It was filled with children‘s

clothes, shoes, and accessories. They were all made of pure cotton, and the material was obviously of

high quality. They felt smooth and comfortable.

She loved them.

“Did you buy them?” Clarissa asked Luke as she rubbed a shirt against her face and.

“Me? I don‘t have the money for that. Mrs. Moore asked me to give them to you since you‘re pregnant

with her grandchildren.” Luke sat down on the sofa, his eyes still ogling the apartment.

Damien had tried to get Luke on his side, but Luke hadn‘t explicitly agreed to anything. At first, he‘d

been on Joseph‘s side. Then, he‘d switched to Damien‘s side. After what Damien had done to him,

however, he was scarred for life. He couldn‘t help fearing that Damien would lure him into a trap again.

This time, he wouldn‘t be taking sides anymore. Clarissa gave it some thought. “Actually, Joseph isn‘t

the father. The babies belong to Dannien.”

“Damien‘s?” Luke raised an eyebrow and sneered. “As expected of the rich. He already has one

pregnant woman waiting for him at home, yet he still has another woman on the side.”

“What do you mean by that?”

“What do I mean?” Luke crossed his legs. He was about to light a cigarette, but Mrs. Faber stopped

him

“Don‘t you know about Damien helping Madelynn out when she was on the brink of destruction? She

went to Sunshine Elementary School recently for a charity event to make hersell look good, and

Damien was the one who sponsored the whole thing. Why would he help her if they didn‘t have

something going on?” “Stop with all that nonsense! Madam‘s pregnant!” Mrs. Faber was displeased to

hear Luke saying such things.

She was still upset about Luke causing trouble during Grandpa Lawrence’s birthday celebration.

“If he had the nerve to do something like that, why can’t I talk about it?” Clarissa’s brows were tightly

knitted. She didn’t know a thing about this. She’d been busy with work lately, and hadn’t paid attention

to the news.

Damien had also made her stay home.

“Have I said too much?” Luke held his hands up when he saw Clarissa’s reaction. “I didn’t say

anything, and I don’t know anything. I’m going to leave now.”

He left after that.

Clarissa went back to her room and scrolled through Madelynn’s Instagram.

Madelynn was the high–profile type, and she would definitely have shared something like that on

Instagram.

However, Clarissa didn’t see anything on Madelynn’s Instagram. When she checked the settings, she

saw that it had been set to “Mute Posts“. However, she was sure she hadn’t done anything of the sort.

Damien was the one behind this.

Her fury intensified.

She called Lily immediately.

Lily was from the PR department, and she would probably know about this.

Yet, she hadn’t mentioned this to Clarissa at all.

“What’s this about the charity event at Sunshine Elementary School?! When did this happen?” This

was the first thing Clarissa said the moment Lily answered the phone.

“Clarissa, you…”

“Luke told me everything! What the hell’s going on?” Clarissa was furious. Whatever was going on

between Damien and Madelynn was beside the point. The biggest issue she had with this was that

Damien knew Madelynn had something to do with her grandmother Mary’s death, yet he still helped

Madelynn!

“Clarissa, don’t be angry… President Lawrence didn’t want you to know about this because he was

afraid you’d get mad and affect the babies.” Lily sounded anxious. “He didn’t mean anything by this.”

“Why did he do it, then?”

This rendered Lily speechless. Clarissa’s words echoed her thoughts exactly. Why had Damien done it

when he knew that it would make Clarissa misunderstand?

“Clarissa… I really don’t know what to say…” Lily muttered.

Clarissa hung up and sat on the bed, sobbing. NôvelDrama.Org holds this content.

She stayed like this until Damien came home.
