Chapter 848 Leaving For Hong Kong (Part One)
Chapter 848 Leaving For Hong Kong (Part One)
Inside XS Hospital
Standing in front of Kate's hospital bed, Greg said cordially, "Auntie, you rest here and if you have any
concern then we are here to take care of it. Within no time you should be fit and fine and well on the
path to recovery. If you have any doubt, call the nurses and they will help you solve it."
"Okay," Kate felt very gratified after seeing the concern in Greg's tone. "Thank you very much!"
"It's my pleasure!" Greg answered politely and gave her an encouraging smile, saying, "You should rest
now and I will take your leave."
He quietly walked out of the room and closed the door gently. As soon as he lifted his head, he saw a
beautiful and innocent girl approaching him. She was very thin and her hair was tied into a ponytail. NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.
Dressed in a simple T-shirt and jeans, she appeared plain yet pure.
"Hello, Is this a VIP room?" asked Aria, her eyes widened with surprise.
"Yes. And may I know who you are?" Greg asked. It was obvious that the girl had no idea about his
identity and thought that he was just another doctor on duty that day.
"I am Aria, daughter of the patient," Aria replied politely. 'Since this man has come out of my mother's
ward and he is also wearing a white gown, he must be her doctor-in-charge, ' thought Aria.
Greg immediately understood after she introduced herself. With a faint smile, he greeted, "Hello, Aria!
You must be Lawrence's friend, aren't you? I am Greg! Lawrence had asked me to arrange this VIP
room for your mother."
"Wait. Are you...Greg Xiao?" Aria's?hand flew to?her mouth in shock and disbelief. Her eyes were
reflecting the confusion she was going through. Wasn't Greg the owner of XS Hospital? It seemed that
Lawrence was quite a well-to-do man if he could ask the president of the most prestigious hospital to
take care of her mother.
"Yes, it's me!" Greg replied. The girl standing in front of him reminded him of Violet in more than one
ways. Both of them had the same kind of temperament, that is, they were both pure and simple.
Aria suddenly started feeling a little embarrassed as she had not expected that her mother would
receive such special treatment. Feeling nervous, she fiddled through her hair with her right hand and in
a soft voice said, "Well, thank you so much! I am sorry that we caused such a bother for you."
"It's no problem at all! Lawrence had already told me about it. Just feel assured and your mother will
get recovered soon. I will check on her from time to time to see how her treatment is progressing," said
Greg.
"Thank you!" Aria hastily expressed her thanks and then asked, "What about the treatment costs?
Would I have to arrange for that?"
Aria tried to calculate in her mind. This was the best hospital in the city and her mother was living in the
VIP room which meant that the fees would certainly be high something which she couldn't afford.
Greg read her mind and suddenly laughed out, "Don't you worry about the fees. I will take care of that,
you just take care of your mom. I am sure she must be expecting you!"
"Oh, thank you!" It seemed that Aria had no words to say except thanks.
"Okay, I am leaving now and you can go inside and see your mother," Greg said and gave her a nod
and then left from there.
Watching him go away in?the distance, Aria let out a sigh of relief and her happiness was quite evident.
She took out her phone and texted a message," Lawrence, thank you so much!" and clicked "send".
The moment she pushed the door open and walked into the ward, she heard that she had received a
text message and she saw that it was from Lawrence.
"Show me that you are really sincere if you want to thank me in any way! Remember, 9:00 pm. tonight!"
A sweet?smile?came on?Aria's lips after she had read the message and she then put down the phone
into her bag and whispered, "It's no problem meeting you in the bar and it will never be!"
"Aria!" Kate suddenly called out her daughter's name.
"Mom," Aria replied and hastily walked over and sat on the bedside, asking, "How are you feeling now?
Any respite from your problem?"
"Yes, I am feeling much better!" Kate responded. "Well, Aria, I am living in such a luxurious room, the
medical fees to it would be so high..."
Before she could even finish her words, Aria interrupted her and said, "Ah, mother, don't you worry
about the medical fees. I have a good friend who knows the President of this hospital and we will figure
a way out. You just need to calm down, relax and receive the treatment, okay?"
Kate was distressed about creating such a big problem for her daughter. She stretched her hand and
caressed Aria's delicate cheek, sighing, "Aria, my girl! I am sorry that I am making you suffer so much!"
Aria endured all the bitterness in her life and pretended to be strong. She gave her mother a very big
smile and comforted her, "Mother, don't say that! I am not suffering at all! I am very happy being with
Charlotte! So, just set your mind at rest and relax."
"Okay, it seems that my daughter has grown up!" Kate put on a satisfactory smile and nodded her
head.
...
In the evening, Lawrence sat in the corner of the bar, drinking the wine alone. He was looking ardently
at the crowds dancing on the dancing floor.
The light was dim and, Lawrence turned to look into the distance and suddenly his gaze settled on a
familiar face.
He recollected the name of the person immediately: Sally! Sally He! The woman who almost stole his
father away from his mother, Cherry!
Lawrence put down his glass on the table, stood up and moved ahead to check whether he was right.
But he couldn't see that face anymore because there were so many people drinking and dancing there.
The dim light also weakened his eyesight.
Just as he thought that he should go inside to find her, Lawrence heard someone call his name.
"Hi, Lawrence, I am here!" Aria stood beside Lawrence, happily.
Lawrence turned his head and he immediately felt at ease after seeing Aria.
"Follow me!" Saying that Lawrence grabbed Aria by the arm and pulled her out of the bar swiftly giving
her just no time to react.
They soon got into a car and Lawrence ordered the driver, "Now, move!"
Hearing his order, the driver started the engine immediately and they left the bar.
Aria was still a little puzzled and she asked, "Wait, didn't you ask me to meet you at the bar? Why are
we leaving and where are we going, can you please tell me?"
Instead of replying her, Lawrence held her hand tightly and kept feeling the warmth from her palm.
Actually, he had got flustered after seeing Sally and now that Aria was close to him he had relaxed. His
going away from there was just so he could spend some time with Aria.
