Chapter 832 Fixing Up A Blind Date (Part Two)
Chapter 832 Fixing Up A Blind Date (Part Two)
"Haha, this brat is worried that you will blame him for what he did last night," Mond told Derek, smiling.
He then stretched his arm and invited Lawrence to come and sit beside him.
After Lawrence sat down, Mond put one of his arms onto Lawrence's shoulder, gave him a bright smile
and said, "Lawrence, you needn't worry about it at all! Even if your parents are not here, I will take good
care of you always. Whoever dares to trouble you will be taught a lesson by me!"
Lawrence took a glimpse at his uncle Mond and grinned?asking, "Uncle, we are one big family! I will
praise all of your efforts in front of mother!"
"Don't do that! I fear that your mother will only scold me for misleading you." Speaking of Cherry, Mond
was still very scared as he thought that she might not like his friendly behaviour with her kids.
"Then let her say so!" Lawrence showed indifference. He was completely relaxed by now. On his way
here, his emotions were high and he had thought that if Uncle Derek tried to teach him a lesson he
would just keep quiet. But he didn't expect that all his three uncles would be so nice to him.
"You are still as naughty as when you were young!" Wilson helplessly shook his head, smiling.
"Uncle Wilson, do you know Austin is much naughtier than I am? If you don't believe me, you can just
wait and see," said Lawrence.
"Alright! Speaking of my son, I almost forget that he has called me last night and told me that he would
be coming back soon," Wilson responded.
"Soon? When? If his soon is 6 months later we will not wait for him. That will be too long!" Derek
quipped Wilson.
"I don't know. Let him be! I am afraid that he has learnt nothing but only been having fun all these years
abroad," Wilson replied with a resigned sigh. His son was still very immature and how he wished that
he could be as outstanding in work as Lawrence was.
"Okay, whatever. Let's get to the point," Mond suggested.
In a moment, Lawrence noticed that three pairs of eyes were staring at him. Feeling perplexed, he
asked, "What has happened? Why are you all staring at me like that?"
"See? I told you he looks really like his father! Haha!" Derek took a sip of his tea and continued to say,
"But your father was not as dashing as you are now!"
"It's all thanks to Cherry's genes! Do you know how much effort she had to take to look after her
precious son?" said Wilson. He still remembered the time when Cherry had to take care of her son all
by herself.
"I really love my mother. There is no one like her. She is and will always be No.1 in my heart!"
Lawrence said in a serious tone. He also recalled the moment when he was very young and he and his
mother were abroad. No matter how stern she used to be to him, he knew it clearly that his mother
loved him most. He could never forget the hard time that his mother had to go through and now these Property © 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.
were the most precious memories in his heart.
"Fine, since you are such a loyal son, I can hope that you will also be a good husband!" Mond said
abruptly.
Before Lawrence could even react, Derek and Wilson laughed out at the remark.
"A good husband? What do you mean by that?" Lawrence turned to look towards Mond, confused.
Suddenly, he felt that the atmosphere had become a little weird and he guessed that the three uncles
were trying to hide something from him.
But before Lawrence could figure out what it was, Mond had started showing him something.
He had taken out several pieces of photos and was now handing them over to Lawrence.
Surprised, Lawrence took out the photos and saw a beautiful girl's face in the first picture.
"These girls have been chosen by your aunts Selina and Amy. You just take a look at them and tell us
which one you like the most and your aunt will arrange a time for you to take her out on a blind date,"
Mond said seriously. He had to be serious because he knew that if he said this in a funny tone
Lawrence would take offence and leave the room and go away.
Derek also added, "Mond is right! These girls all have excellent family backgrounds and they are
graceful and intelligent too. You must pick a few of them!"
"Lawrence, you must trust your aunt's judgement. It must be no problem at all!" Wilson echoed
immediately.
Lawrence now understood that he had been called to take a girl on a blind date. His temper?flared and
he threw away all the photos on the table. He then crossed his legs, leaned against the sofa and in a
lethargic?voice, said, "I won't go! I have never ever thought of going on a blind date!"
"Hey, listen to me. You have grown up now and you are a big man. This is the right time for a mature
young man like you to find a suitable girl and have a family. Since you haven't brought a girlfriend from
abroad, you must go on a blind date to find one girl that you would like to settle down with." Derek was
a little anxious as if Lawrence was his own child.
"If you want me to bring a girl for you from abroad, I can do that tomorrow myself!" Lawrence said in a
haste. His own parents had not said anything about his marriage, but his uncles were so anxious and
worried.
"No. I want you to find a local girl from this city," Derek refused his proposal. He then pointed at all the
photos scattered on the table and said, "These girls are all very good. You can choose some and your
Aunt Selina will arrange a blind date for you."
Lawrence didn't say a word but turned his back to all his uncles.
"Hey, Lawrence, don't be mad at us like that! This is what your father also wants! If he would not have
agreed, we wouldn't have dared to do it." Mond comforted Lawrence patiently.
"Why is my father so anxious about my marriage? I am not anxious at all," Lawrence grumbled.
Impatience and discontent could easily be seen on his face.
"You are the eldest brother of all the siblings. If you don't get married soon, what would Alice, Austin
and Natalie do?" asked Derek.
"Whoever is anxious to get married should get married soon. I don't care. Anyhow, I don't want to get
married at present." He then added, "By the way, even if I wanted to get married, I won't go for a blind
date."
