Chapter 13 Abortion Operation
Colbert wore a black shirt with his sleeves rolled up to his elbows. His hands were in the pockets of his
trousers. There was a dignified aura in his body. He looked like a prince.
There was no trace of sympathy on his cold and handsome face. He strode up to Eudora, stopped, and
raised his hand. Corey, who was standing behind him, immediately handed a pad of report to him.
Colbert threw a pad of reports on Eudora's face.
With a whoosh, these reports scattered on her face. Then, they fell on the bed.
Eudora stared at Colbert with a dissatisfied look. Then, she picked up the report and read it. She saw
these words, "Pregnant".
She suddenly smiled. An inexplicable soreness came to her heart. Her eyes turned red in an instant.
Eudora managed to find the culprit of the car accident of her adoptive parents. However, before she
could call the police, the private detective was severely beaten and injured. The culprit of the car
accident had been taken away by someone. The whereabouts were still unknown.
She had an accidental pregnancy, but she couldn't keep the baby.
Why must fate be so cruel to her?
"What are you smiling at?" Colbert frowned and looked at Eudora with displeasure on his face.
Eudora sniffed and held back her sudden grievance. She smiled, threw a few reports on the table, and
glanced at her watch. "It's one o'clock in the afternoon. Go and arrange the abortion. I don't want to
miss my night shift."
Colbert narrowed his eyes slightly. He thought she would ask to keep the child, but her reaction was
beyond his expectation. She looked so cold… so defeated.
He didn't hesitate. "Corey, inform the doctor and prepare for the operation."
After that, he turned around and walked out of the ward.
Colbert didn't say anything to Eudora. It seemed that he hated her very much. Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
After a while, a nurse went to the ward and asked Eudora to go to the operating room.
Eudora got up and walked into the operating room with a blank expression. There were two
gynecologists inside.
Seeing the surgical instruments on the table, she could almost feel the pain when these instruments
were churning in her body.
She subconsciously covered her belly with her hands and felt an unbearable pain in her heart.
If this baby didn't belong to Colbert, she would keep the baby desperately.
It was a pity that Colbert didn't allow her to keep the baby!
"Lie on the bed."
The female doctor in a white coat and mask pointed to the operating table and said coldly.
Eudora was stunned for a moment. She turned her head to look outside the operating room but did not
see Colbert.
He really didn't have a heart.
At that moment, Eudora suddenly wanted to become stronger.
Only then can she protect the people she loved. Otherwise, she had no strength to resist.
Eudora lay on the operating table. The doctor injected her with the anesthetic.
Not long after, she fell asleep.
Just then, Colbert walked to the door of the operating room. When the doctors saw him, they
immediately stepped forward and said, "Mr. Steele, she didn't resist. She was already asleep."
This proved that Eudora was willing to undergo the abortion operation.
"After she wakes up, remember to give her the 'medicine' we talked about. You know what to do next."
The 'medicine' Colbert mentioned was to help stabilize the pregnancy.
"Yes, Mr. Steele."
The doctor nodded to Colbert.
Colbert glanced at Eudora meaningfully and turned to leave.
Corey was puzzled. He asked, "Mr. Steele, since you want to keep the baby, why don't you just let Ms.
Stanford know?"
"If she knows I want to keep the baby, she might use it as leverage."
With that being said, Colbert also wanted to test Eudora.
He wanted to know if she was really willing to abort the baby if she was pregnant.
Like she promised him.
Turns out... He underestimated her.
"But sooner or later, she will be showing more pregnancy symptoms. She will know eventually."
"I'm going to watch her closely during this time," Colbert said. Suddenly, he paused and said, "Corey,
call the club to allow her to get off work at twelve o'clock every night."
"Ms. Stanford also works part-time to deliver food every day. Will she still deliver food when she gets off
work so early?"
"After all, she has signs of miscarriage," Corey reminded.
Colbert compressed his thin lips. "Let's for fate to decide."
If Eudora miscarries, then that's not on him. He promised his grandma, he wouldn't 'hurt' her.
More than half an hour later, Eudora woke up.
She shook her drowsy head, looked at the infusion bottle, and asked the nurse beside her, "Is the
operation done?"
"Yes, but you have to come back to the hospital for a week of anti-inflammatory IV meds and check in
again after one month."
The nurse told Eudora with an earnest expression, "Your body is weak at this state. Remember to rest
in bed for three days. Also, you can't do heavy work for half a month. During this period, you can't
smoke or drink. Otherwise, you will suffer later when you actually want a baby. It is very likely that you
will never be able to conceive again in your lifetime if you don't follow my instructions."
The "anti-inflammatory infusion" that the nurse said was an excuse to ask Eudora to come on time for
the pregnancy stabilizing medicine.
"Is it so serious? Okay…I will do my best to follow your instructions, doctor."
Eudora nodded seriously.
She was still young. She wanted to have children of her own in the future. So she must listen to the
doctor and take care of her body.
After calming down, she clutched her belly and felt aggrieved.
She lost her first baby.
After having the intravenous drip, Eudora got up and moved around. She was surprised to find that her
body felt fine. There was no pain like she was expecting.
"Hey nurse, why don't I feel any pain after the operation?"
The nurse paused for a moment. Then, she smiled awkwardly and explained, "Some people don't feel
any pain at all, it was also very early for you. Still, you should take it easy and rest well."
As the nurse spoke, she handed a bunch of medicines to Eudora and said, "These are the medicines
you need to take. The methods of taking medicine are all written on the boxes."
"OK… Thanks."
After returning to the rental house, Eudora asked the club's manager for another three days off. The
manager readily agreed, to Eudora's surprise.
She felt grateful for it. "The manager is so kind today. It's so easy to ask for leave."
The last time Eudora went to Steele Mansion for three days, the manager agreed with her without a
pause. She asked for a three-day leave again, the manager directly approved it without asking any
questions.
After resting at home for three days like the doctor requested, Eudora cooked and delivered meals to
her mother in the hospital on time every day. She would also take her mother out for a walk in the sun
and massage her unconscious father.
Other than that, she went to the hospital to get an "anti-inflammatory infusion" every day and spent the
rest of the time resting at home. She didn't even dare to deliver food.
One day, when she was resting at home and playing on her phone, the news suddenly popped up. The
headline of the news attracted her attention. "Corpse appeared in the bay of Kenison City".
Looking at the eye-catching headlines, Eudora clicked the news curiously.
The corpse in the photo was mosaiced, but the man's previous photo was attached.
"This person... looks familiar."
Eudora murmured. Suddenly, her eyes widened. She immediately found the photo sent to her by the
private detective a few days ago.
After checking it, she was so frightened that she got up from the ground instantly. "It's him!"
The deceased in the news was the owner of the car accident of her adoptive parents. He was also the
one who had been taken away from the private detective!
