I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 304

Can't Help

The Mitchell family's affairs were festering. Although Jack was in hospital, new problems had arisen in the company.

The Mitchell Group started out as a merchandise design business. Even though the business had remained tepid over the years, they had cooperated with many companies. So, there were a lot of goods and materials filling up several large warehouses. Now that Jack was in hospital, many of the lowest-level employees thought the Mitchell Group would go bankrupt. Therefore, they secretly stole goods from the warehouse and sold them in groups.

Kimberly didn't find out about this until Wulf informed her. Due to Jack's health condition, she could only handle the matter as the hire of the Mitchell family.Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

On the way to the warehouse, Wulf asked, "Kimberly, why don't you tell Mr. Mitchell about this? Otherwise, we can't handle it properly!"

"Mr. Milo, my dad can't be stimulated and needs rest right now, so we must keep this from him."

Wulf had been working for Jack for many years. Kimberly had always called him Mr. Milo and was very respectful to him.

At her words, Wulf froze momentarily and said no more.

The two arrived at the warehouse half an hour later.

Kimberly saw mess with cardboard and packaging boxes all over the floor. Emery, the person in charge of the warehouse, rushed over immediately and said apologetically, "Mr. Milo, Ms. Mitchell, I'm really sorry. I don't know why it ended up like this."

"You are the person in charge of the warehouse. You should have prevented these accidents from happening." Kimberly's voice was gentle, but her face was cold because of the horrible situation.

Emery's face changed, and he shirked responsibility. "Ms. Mitchell, I have taken precautions, but there were too many of them, and there was nothing I could do!"

Kimberly had a cold face and didn't say anything. She knew Emery didn't take her seriously at all.

She stopped talking. Emery said, "Ms. Mitchell, if you think it's my problem, I'll quit. Just pay me my salary, and I'll leave immediately!"

"Emery, you've been working here for

so long. Mr Mitchell has treated you well. Now, the company is in trouble.

You have to understand our

difficulties. When everything isel.ne

settled, Mr. Mitchell will give you a reward."

"Mr. Milo, of course, I understand what you mean, but Ms. Mitchell's words are harsh. She seems to be blaming me."

Wulf explained quickly, then put his arm around Emery's shoulder and walked aside to talk. Wulf had much prestige in the Mitchell Group.

But this didn't dissipate Kimberly's anger. She knew these people were all complicated, and she, a newcomer, could not handle them.

Suddenly, she remembered Harper once told her, "If you want to solve the company's problems, you must start from the foundation of the mode of operation."

Kimberly called Harper while Wulf was appeasing Emery.

She explained the situation and purpose to Harper and asked, "Can you help the Mitchell family? Harper, we need you to solve these problems." Harper was surprised. She didn't expect Kimberly to invite her to the Mitchell Group. However, she would not go.

Harper was very clear about the

company's mode. If she showed up at the Martin Group, it would soon spread that Benjamin's wife was using the Martin family and the

Martin Group's resources to saven el

her parent's family. Not only would this not help the Mitchell family, but it would also implicate the Martin Group and the Martin family because of the Mitchell family's problems, causing the Martin Group to fall into doubt and criticism from shareholders and employees.

Besides, she remembered Jennifer's words clearly.

So, she told Kimberly, "I'm sorry, but I can't help you. Compared to me, an unacknowledged child of the

Mitchell family, you are more qualified and capable of solving these problems."
