I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 289

Accompany Her

Harper sat up in a sweat and subconsciously caressed her abdomen before reacting to the fact that it was just a dream.

But she suddenly heard footsteps. Her eyes widened as she froze.

Harper held her breath, lifting the covers and getting out of bed. She walked outside in her bare feet, gently opening the bedroom door and slowing her pace to walk out. Feeling the footsteps getting closer and closer, she didn't stop until she saw Angie cleaning with a mop, which made her frown and ask, "Angie, when did you get here?"

Angie immediately turned back when she heard the voice, then softly responded, "I just came for a while, thinking that you were at home and came over early to clean and organize. Did I disturb your sleep?"

Harper shook her head, then went to get a glass of water.

But the nightmares left her unsettled. She was even a little afraid to sleep.

She'd been having nightmares continuously and was genuinely scared.

But Harper didn't sleep well last night and didn't have much strength or energy now. She didn't have a good appetite either. She just asked Angie to cook something for her to eat at night casually. Taking advantage of this time, she nestled on the sofa and rested for a while. She didn't fall asleep, so she didn't dream.

At night, she was left alone in the house again. She gripped her cell phone and wanted to call Benjamin, preferably hoping that Benjamin would accompany her to sleep. But she didn't want Benjamin to think she couldn't leave him.

However, Benjamin called her and asked, "Did you eat?"

"Yes."

"You rest early then. I have a dinner party tonight, and it might be late when it's over."

"Okay."

Harper pressed her lips together, feeling lonely.

Probably hearing that she was in a bad mood, Benjamin didn't hang up the phone in a hurry but asked in a low voice, "What's wrong with you? I feel like you don't have any energy. Are you too tired from work or are you uncomfortable somewhere?"

Once someone gently coaxed or

cared for her when she needed to be cared for the most, Harper felt like crying and felt like she was going to melt away in an instant.

Harper whispered, "I'm not uncomfortable, just a little bored."

"Bored?"

Benjamin laughed softly.

He said, "Are you bored, or is it because you miss me?"

Harper thought, "He's asking that again.

Does he really want to hear me say I miss him that badly?"

Harper gritted her teeth lightly as Curtis' voice rang out on Benjamin's

side.. Martin, I've got the car

ready. Shall we go there

Harper fluttered her eyelashes softly. Benjamin whispered, "I'll go to work first. Be good and wait for me at home. Okay?"

"Okay." She answered in a low voice and suddenly added, "Benjamin."

"I probably missed you a little."

After saying that, she simply hung up the phone.

Harper was pretty bored on her own. If she got used to it, it would be fine. But Benjamin was dominating her life, and his scent was wafting

of uncomfortable for a net

everywhere. It made her really kind

The phone was hung up, but Benjamin's smile was still evident. Curtis noticed it and froze slightly. He thought, "Mr. Martin smiled?"
