Chapter 283
Chapter 283
Kingsley threw a glance at the passed-out Tyler and the shivering Felix, and he said to Lancer, "Tie them both up and bring them back to the headquarters!"
He then turned to Hades and ordered, "Immediately bring our men to seize the Spearhead Group on the charges of storing illegal explosives in the warehouse, and causing the explosion at the warehouse which led to casualties. Also, assist the police in arresting all related personnel of the Jovovich Family. Have them convicted and sentenced according to Qustian Law!"
"Understood, Ares!"
After Hades replied, he promptly left for the Spearhead Group with the troops in tow.
Tyler was still lying on the ground when his eyes began to turn as he slowly regained consciousness.
However, he let out a squeak and fainted again as soon as he heard Kingsley's order.
In just one night, all that was left after the bombing of Warehouse 26 in Jetstar Logistics was a mess.
The dozen or so charred corpses in the warehouse had become the best witnesses of the Spearhead Group's possession of arms.
Following that, the top management of the Spearhead Group, including the head of the Jovovich Family, were all arrested when they were fast asleep.
Kingsley took the chance in the dark of the night to turn everything over.
It was only when people woke up the next morning did they hear about the news that the once- prosperous Spearhead Group had fallen.
In that instant, everyone in the business world and upper class in Cleapolis were quietly hit by a sense of impending doom.
They had noticed something unusual from the fall of the Jovovich Family—it seemed that there was someone influential who was secretly cleaning up the filth of the city!
Panicked, they quickly destroyed the evidence of their respective company's crimes, and tried to fill the holes so that it didn't look like anything was intentionally erased.
They were afraid that the one responsible for the Spearhead Group's downfall would target them and drag them down instead.
However, Kingsley was completely unaware of all this series of turbulent events that followed.
All he did was go back to his Reene's house to catch some shut-eye before he went straight to Building No. 17 of Coliree Group at noon the next day.
"You are here, Boss." Lancer took him to the room where Tyler and Felix were imprisoned before he reported, "I didn't let them sleep the whole night. They are on the verge of a breakdown now."
"Great." Kingsley nodded. "We probably will be able to get some answers soon."
After he entered the room, he habitually pulled out a chair and sat across from the men. "Right. Who wants to start talking first?"
Tyler and Felix were currently frightened and haggard, and it was obvious that they were only a push away from collapsing.
However, it wasn't because they were psychologically fragile.
This interrogation room was set up by Lancer and Hades according to the standards for interrogating spies and war criminals on Coliree Island.
Not only was the room dark and silent, there were various torture devices in there.
Even the air smelled faintly of blood.
The most an average person could stand in the room was two minutes before they were suffocated by the feeling of oppression.
Tyler and Felix, however, were not only tied up in the room for the whole night, they were also forced to stay awake. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
In a way, they had reached a limit both mentally and psychologically, and they might have a nervous breakdown at any given moment.
"M-Mr. Nicholson…" Felix's lips were pale and trembling as he stutteringly pleaded, "I have never offended you. Can you show mercy and let me go... I will do anything you tell me to..."
"It is true that you have never offended me." Kingsley looked at him coldly. "But, it was because of your greed for money that more than 10 lives of innocent workers were lost!"
"Someone lost their life… because of me?" Felix asked with a dazed look on his face. "I admit that I am greedy, but I have never killed anyone..."
"It is because you wanted money that you gave Mr. Field's contact information to the person who bought the explosives! He bought enough explosives to blow up the Nicholson Family Cemetery. The explosion killed more than a dozen innocent people!" Kingsley's voice was as cold as ice as he asked, "Do you think you can escape this circle of cause and effect?"
"I—" Felix's face instantly turned white, "I didn't think that far ahead… I only wanted to make some money…"
As he murmured those few words, he suddenly raised his head at Kingsley and whimpered, "I-I can tell you everything about Mr. Field! Can I make up for my mistakes and have my life spared?"
"It depends on what you have to tell me. I can consider your request if it is useful information. But if you tell even one lie, I promise that you will be begging to die by the time I am done with you!"
"Yes, yes. I wouldn't dare to lie to you..." Felix gulped before he hoarsely started, "About two months ago, two people contacted the Spearhead Group and claimed that they had supply for arms—"
