Chapter 18
Chapter 18
Xavier's POV
She is gone.
I couldn't believe it. But the pain says otherwise. Not only did I feel the pain, so did the entire Kingdom
as I heard howls of pain. The kingdom felt the pain of their Luna Queen's death.
I fall to the ground on my knees. This can't be happening. This shouldn't have happened. This is all my
fault.
"We got their location." I heard Thomas voice. I quickly stood up and grabbed him by his collar. "Where
are they?" I demanded. He hurriedly gave me the location.
"Nathan, gear up. We have witches to kill." I snarled. We quickly gathered people and went to the
location. To our surprise they were still there.
We barged into the building. There they were sitting around a table in a circle. The moment I saw the
witch that tortured my mate, I grabbed her by the neck.
"Where is she!" I yelled at her. She turned her head and pointed towards some ashes. I look at it
bewildered. "Turn into ashes." she said smirking.
"I am going to rip you into pieces bitch." I snarled out. All the others had already killed the other witches
and is watching us. Nathan had went in front of the ashes and kneeled down crying at it.
"Go ahead. I don't care anymore. I had my revenge. Her last thoughts was that you killed her." she said
with no fear. I couldn't control my wolf anymore. He had shifted.
We circled the witch, our prey. Before anyone can blink, we pounced on her ripping her into pieces. We
ripped her until there was barely anything left of her.
We stood there glaring at what was left of her in front of me. My wolf gave me back control as I shifted
back. One of the warrior gave me a shorts as I slipped into it.
I rushed to where Nathan. "No. This can't be happening." I whispered. "She is gone. My baby sister is
gone." Nathan said crying.
She is really gone. Not even her body was here for me to hug and cry. I cannot take this pain. I just
cannot. Everyone in that room was crying.
I let out the most ferocious growl ever. I want her back. I need her back. Moon goddess please give her
back to me. I prayed. But nothing happened. She was gone.
Nathan grabbed her ashes and put it in a jar there. "We have to go." Nathan said pulling me. But I
stayed rooted to the ground. I couldn't care.
He continued to pull me up but, I didn't move an inch. He eventually gave up and went. I stayed there
not uttering or moving.
"I am so sorry." I said hoping she could hear me. "I am so sorry little one. I shouldn't have pushed you
away. I am so sorry for those hurtful words." I cried.
"I didn't mean any of it." I paused. "Truth be told, I was scared. I was scared of letting you in. But you
crushed my walls with no effort and that scared me a lot."
"I love you, little one." I whispered in realisation. My eyes went wide with the words that came out. "I
love her." I said again unbelievingly.
"What have I done!" I yelled. If only I had accepted my feelings for her and not told her those harsh
words, she wouldn't have ran of into the woods. She wouldn't have been kidnapped.
She'd still be alive. This is all my fault. Even my wolf was blaming me. And he was right. Our mate was
gone because of my selfishness.
I sat there for hours crying and blaming myself before I had the courage to go back. I slowly made my
way back to the palace.
"When I went back, I saw my mum, Amelia's parents, Nathan, Angela and her 3 friends. All of them
were crying. It was pouring outside. Matching our emotions.
I walked passed them not wanting to face them with my guilty face, when Nathan stopped me. "What
did Amelia meant when she said that you hate her?" Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.
I stopped on my tracks. Everyone was looking at me for answers. And I knew I had to answer them. I
sighed before explaining to them what happened before she was kidnapped.
As I finished my explanation, I felt a pain in my jaw. Nathan has punched me. And I deserved it. "You
asshole. How could you do this."
"My baby sister would have been alive, if not for you." he screamed. Everyone tried pulling him away
while I just stood there. What he said was right and there was no denying in that.
"All she ever did was love you and care for you. No matter how badly you treated her, she still loved
you. Even in her last breathe she defended you!"
I hung my head in shame as tears continued. He let go off me and walked off, Angela following him to
calm him down.
Her friends just walked away in silent. "You maybe our Alpha King, but today, you are nothing but the
reason for the death of my child." Mr Rose said walking away with his crying mate.
The only person that was there was my mum and me. As I walked closer to her, she took steps back
making me halt in my steps.
"Mum?" I said as she just walked away. I was left alone. Left alone to my thoughts. Left alone with my
demons.
I started throwing everything and breaking things. No matter what I do, I can't seem to get rid of the
pain. It was a pain that I have never felt.
I started walking back to my room when I stopped at her floor and my legs automatically went to her
room door. I stopped outside her door.
I slowly opened her door and entered. Immediately her scent hit me calming me down. I slowly made
my way inside.
It looked simple. There wasn't much decoration. Just a few photos of her family and friends. She even
had a photo she took with the pack children. She was so good with kids.
I went to her study table and saw her books. I picked up one of them and saw it was about psychology.
She wanted to become a psychologist.
I smiled at it. She was so good at understanding people. It was no doubt she would want to become a
psychologist.
I walked to her closet and opened it. Most of her clothes were grey. And I realised her favourite colour
was grey. I took one of her hoodie and sat at her bed.
I looked at my side and saw a side table. I opened the draw, and saw a diary. I took it out and flipped
open it. I was shocked at what I saw.
It was a sketch of me. I flipped the pages and started reading. She had expressed her feelings for me
in her diary. The more I read, the more I cried.
Her feelings for me was so pure and strong, I felt honored. She loved me so much, it must have hurt
her so much with the way I treated her.
I cried and cried that exhaustion took over and I ended sleeping in her bed with her scent surrounding
me. I have become a broken man.
