Heartstrings on Fire (Agnes and Jared)

Chapter 802

Chapter 802

Yolanda couldn't help but smirk as she leaned in, her voice laced with a touch of malice, "Besides,

everyone's computer is locked with a personal password. Without it, it's a no-go zone, Agnes. You

claim someone tampered with your computer, but let's not forget, you're the only one who knows your

password. So, who could possibly break in and frame you?"

The whole situation was a tangled mess that Agnes couldn't make heads or tails of, especially since

she did have a password set on her computer.

Watching Agnes squirm, Yolanda felt a rush of satisfaction. She had accidentally caught Agnes typing

her password once and had remembered it. So, when the scandalous article was published, Agnes had

no one to blame but herself.

The station head finally spoke up, "Agnes, what do you have to say for yourself? The article was

published under your name. You keep saying you were framed, but you have no proof. You have to

take responsibility for this. Sharon's lawyer has already notified us about suing the station, and you're

going to be held accountable."

Judson sighed from the sidelines, "Agnes, did you really write that piece? If you did, I'm deeply

disappointed."

Agnes was at a loss for words. The wave of doubt that palpably crashed over her wasn't solely due to Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

Yolanda's incessant instigation; the revelation of her past as Jared's ex-wife had fueled suspicion. It

was an undeniable motive.

Just then, a commotion erupted at the door, and someone shouted, "Mr. Whitfield is here!"

All eyes turned toward the entrance as Jared strolled into the News Department with a calm and

measured pace. The crowd that had gathered outside the director's office parted to make way for him.

Jared entered the office, and the Station head greeted him with due respect. After all, Jared was a

major sponsor for the station.

Everyone assumed Jared had come to question them, given that Agnes was his ex-wife, whom he had

unceremoniously kicked out. Now, she had exposed Jared's beloved mistress, Sharon. Even though

the article claimed Jared was looking after Sharon out of guilt, it had insinuated an affair.

Seeing Jared, the Station head rushed over, "Mr. Whitfield, what brings you here?"

Jared replied politely, "I have something to discuss with you."

The Station head quickly showed his stance, "Mr. Whitfield, I assume you're here about the news that

broke last night. Rest assured, we're handling the situation. Your timing is perfect; it'll be proof that we

don't condone such unethical behavior from our staff. We will take severe action to give you a

satisfactory outcome."

Jared spoke, "We'll talk about that matter shortly. I'm here for something else today."

Everyone in the office were puzzled. What could be more urgent than this scandal? The Station head's

face broke into an obsequious smile, "Please, Mr. Whitfield, go ahead."
