Chapter 758
Chapter 758
"Perhaps you should look more carefully, boss?" Agnes interrupted, her face expressionless. "I can
guarantee that every survey here is valid and real. They've got contact information, you can call them
yourself."
Yolanda scanned the papers, indeed, every survey had contact information.
Getting people to leave their contact information was a rare feat in survey research. Most people were
weary of unwanted calls.
Yet, Agnes managed to get every respondent to leave their phone number.
Something felt off. Yolanda still had a hard time believing that Agnes had managed to pull it off.
She randomly picked up a few numbers and dialed them on her office phone.
To her surprise, they were all real. Everyone she talked to said that they had filled out the survey just
that afternoon.
Yolanda hung up, looking at Agnes with disbelief.
"Do you have any other requests, boss?" Agnes asked. NôvelDrama.Org content rights.
Yolanda's face was ashen, as if she'd just been slapped in public.
"McKinley Corp has a press release," Yolanda said, "I want you to coordinate with them. You can do
the writing."
Agnes nodded, "Sure, I got it."
As Agnes left Yolanda's office, she thought to herself, 'Finally, some real work.' She knew that Yolanda
was still reeling from the shock, and she wasn't sure what Yolanda would attempt to do next. But Agnes
had already resolved to stay.
She was going to stick it out, until she was doing the work she wanted to do. Agnes was aiming to be a
planning and interviewing journalist for The Primary Perspective.
Although The Primary Perspective was already established, it was short-staffed and underfunded. After
only two issues, it was temporarily put on hold.
The board had decided to keep the column going and was now collecting funds to relaunch it.
The role of the main interviewer was to be decided through an audition. Agnes had already submitted
her application and was eagerly waiting for the interview next week.
Just before their day ended, Ramona, one of the colleagues, rushed into the office with a piece of hot
gossip, "Hey, guess who's touring our station? The CEO of the Tim Group, escorted by our station
head himself. He's about to visit our News Department!"
Yolanda, who had already put on her coat and was ready to leave, froze in her tracks.
"What did you say?" Yolanda walked over, "The CEO of the Tim Group, Jared?"
"Yeah, Jared. He's coming. Apparently, the Tim Group wants us to produce their new promotional
video, so..."
Before Ramona could finish, Yolanda hurried back to her office.
The office had a frosted glass door, and you couldn't see inside from a distance. However, the top and
bottom 10cm were clear glass, which drew curious eyes.
One of the gossipy colleagues peeked into the office and said, "The boss is touching up her makeup. I
heard she and Mr. Whitfield had a thing a long time ago. Could the rumors be true?"
The office was buzzing with speculations.
"I heard that too," someone chimed in, "Apparently, before she joined us, she was Jared's secretary.
But back then, Jared was already married. Rumor has it that she came in between Mr. Whitfield's
marriage and was chased away by his ex-wife."
