Chapter 26
Gina.
“We need to take you out shopping; get you some clothes, shoes, or anything else that you want,” Devon said excitedly as soon as we walked out of the king’s chambers.
Two out of the triplets were taking me to my new accommodations, and as of that moment, I was still indifferent about all that was happening.
I want to be excited, but I can’t help the fact that I am still so unsure of the triplet’s intentions toward me.
Denver was asked to stay back by the alpha king for a brief meeting, so I was accompanied by Devon and Derrick.
Derrick has been relatively calm that morning, and his reason is not far-fetched. Yes, I am angry with him; it is already bad enough that I don’t think I want them as mates.
His flashing me a red flag at this early stage is a terrible turn-off for me.
Nevertheless, I could tell he was remorseful and would want to make amends if I gave him that opportunity.
We soon arrived at the nicely designed white mini-duplex surrounded by peak-head white fences and lots of beautiful, colorful flowers.
Even though the house is in the same compound as the other royal families, its unique and exquisite design makes it stand out.
I liked the place immediately, even before getting to see what the interiors looked like.
Moreover, because it is secluded from the rest of the royal houses, it feels like you are in your world.
“Welcome to your temporal home, princess,” Devon said softly to my ears. His warm breath tickled my neckline, and it felt so f*****g aphrodisiac.
It took me a lot of willpower not to close my eyes to savor the effect he was having on me. He looked into my eyes and smiled, as if he could tell that I was trying hard to fight off his charms.
He walked past me to go knock on the door and occasionally stole glances at me before the door opened.
A beautiful young girl, not more than sixteen, walked out of the house, and as soon as she saw that it was the triplets, she bowed her head in respect.
“Princess, come meet your new maid; her name is River, and she is one of the recruits,” Devon said, stretching his hand towards me, which I gently walked into.
“River, this is your mistress and Luna to be; you must respect and do all that you are told at all times. Is that clear? He questioned using his alpha voice, and the young girl nodded her head, “yes.”
Hearing that Joy was one of the recruits makes me want to wonder if it were her wish to be there or if she was forced to be there.
“Hi,” I said to her with a friendly smile as she gave way for the two alphas and me to walk into the house.
The interiors were beautiful; the walls were painted white, with expensive buttercream and gold drapes flowing nicely from the windows and doors.
The furniture was mostly white, and everything just seemed perfect. Even though I was still mad at Derrick, I found myself internally grateful for the fact that he was the one who suggested this place.
“There are four bedrooms, and they are all ensuite; you can pick any room of your choice,” Devon said excitedly.
“Thanks,” I said, still touring around the apartment.
I soon got to the kitchen and was blown away by the space and how we’ll organize everything.
The idea of having this entire kitchen to myself, even for the shortest of times, made me thrilled, and I found myself smiling.
“Do you like this place?” Derrick questioned when we were finally done with the house tour.
“Yeah, thanks,” I said, trying to avoid looking him in the eyes.
“You have been cold all day; you want to tell me what the problem is,” he questions calmly, his easy eyes resting on mine.
“I’m okay,” I said to him as I turned to speak with Devon, who seemed to have given us a little distance.
“Gina,” He said, pulling me a little closer to himself, “I’m sorry; I have no excuse whatsoever as for what happened last night.” “I know you are hurt, and I promise it will never repeat itself; please forgive me,” he said calmly, with a deep sense of remorse.
Honestly, at that moment, I was looking for any excuse to stay mad at him, but I couldn’t find any. But I was not going to let him easily off the hook that he has trapped himself in.
“Please say something,” he said, gazing into my eyes.
“So many things are happening at the same time, and honestly, I think I need some time to process it all,” I said to him.
“Will you ever forgive me?”
“You have to give me a reason to,” I said in all honesty.
“Okay,” he said, letting go of my hand while simultaneously running his fingers through his head.Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
“If it is time that you want, I will give you as much time as you require. But, just so you know, I truly care about you, and I was a fool for allowing myself to hurt you in the way I did,” he said before turning to leave.
I thought of stopping him to tell him that I wasn’t so mad at him anymore, but I also didn’t want him to see that I could easily forgive him for every time he messes up.
Even though I wasn’t expecting anything less of what he had done, being the player and the lady’s man of the triplets,
But his owning up to his mistakes and apologizing made me develop an even softer spot for him as I watched him go.
“Are you alright?” Devon asked calmly, and I turned to see that he was standing right beside me.
Yeah, I said, nodding my head simultaneously.
“How about I Drive you home to get some of the things that you might need?” he questioned.
Yeah, thanks.

Third-person narrative.
Immediately after the meeting, Gwen called her father aside to inform him of how Gina had succeeded in taking her triplets from her.
I told you to take care of her, but you didn’t, and now she has bewitched my mates. Gwen raged.
“I know how you are feeling, and I am sure you know that I am more than disappointed with the turn of events. Nevertheless, I will be the last person to sit back and allow any form of injustice to be meted out to you. You have been chosen by the gods to be the triplets’ mate, and even the alpha king cannot stop that,” he said confidently to his daughter.
“But for now, we have to step back a little because should anything happen to her now, we will be the first suspects, so I beg for a little patience, my beautiful daughter,” he said pleadingly to a still-agitated Gwen.
“So what do I do now? It is obvious that they feel more bonded to her than to me,” she said.
“I don’t think so; even if they do, it must be as a result of the spell she must have used on them,” her father said to her.
“So why can’t we also use magic?” she questioned her father.
“Because it is not relevant; you are their one through mate. Moreover, you told me one of the triplets spent the night with you,” her father queries.
“Yes, he did, after I persisted, of course, but I don’t want just one of them; I want all three of them,” she grumbles.
“You will have them when the time comes; just be patient; I am working on something that will bring back that beautiful smile to your face,” Gwen’s father assured her.
“I am counting on you, Daddy, or else I am going to kill myself if I don’t have them to myself,” she threatened.
“May the gods forbid that; you will be the Luna and the mate of the triplet alphas; believe me when I say this,” he said to her.
