Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1312

After getting back from Martial World, Connor wasted no time diving into wedding plans with Flora, more eager than anyone else.

When he brought up the wedding, Flora was cool as a cucumber, lounging on the couch with a slice of watermelon. "Marriage, huh? I'm still young. Let's give it a few more years," she said with a lazy grin. Connor's face froze, eyebrows knitting together in surprise. He clearly hadn't expected Flora to push back.

Henrik chimed in with a chuckle, "I agree. Little sis is still young. She deserves some more fun."

Raul came down the stairs, nodding in agreement, "Yeah, Flora's only just returned to us. I want her to stick around for a bit. We can talk about weddings later."

Sure, Flora was still young. But Connor wasn't getting any younger. A few more years and he'd be pushing it. He was already five years her senior.

Unable to hold back, Connor gave Flora's sleeve a gentle tug. She blinked up innocently, "What's up, Connor? I'm not done with my watermelon."

Connor, lips pressed into a thin line, picked up a fork, speared a piece of watermelon, and offered it to her. Flora took it with a smile, sneaking a peek at Connor's glum expression. The guy looked downright pitiful, with his eyes downcast and a cloud of gloom hanging over him.

Connor was feeling pretty down. Did she really not want to marry him yet? Was he just being too hasty?

Lost in thought, he barely touched his dinner, his mood in the dumps. Afterward, he silently went to tackle the dishes.

Flora watched, raising an eyebrow

but staying quiet. She headed upstairs for a shower. When she came back out, there was Connor sitting on the bed. Dressed in cozy long sleeves and pants, he noticed her in a bathrobe and cranked, up the

"Still sulking?" Flora teased with a soft smile. Her hair was damp at the ends from the shower, falling around her waist. She walked over and nudged his leg playfully, "Why the long face, like a sulking bride?"

"Yeah, a bit," Gonnor admitted. Since

she asked, he figured he might as well be honest. He looked up with a mix of cool and warmth in his eyes, "Can you give me a straight answer? If you want to wait, I get it, but how long are we talking? Just so can prepare myself."

Flora's heart melted. She and her dad, along with her brothers, were just having a bit of fun. But Connor took it to heart. She laughed, "I was just teasing. Of course, I want to

marry you, Connor. The sooner, the

better!"

She straddled him, wrapping her arms around his neck. Connor instinctively supported her waist, the softness sparking his imagination.

"But for now, let's shelve the wedding talk. We've got more pressing matters," she said with a playful glint in her eye.

Fresh from her shower, she smelled of sweet shower gel, and the scent was intoxicating to Connor.

He swallowed hard, eyes deepening with desire.

...

The next day, Flora brought up the wedding with Raul and Henrik. Raul, despite wanting to keep Flora close, was all smiles as he went off to find the perfect date for the big day. "Connor, give me your birth details. I'll find someone to choose a lucky date for the two of you," Raul said with a grin.
