Chapter 322: I Can Remind You Now
Upon reaching the restaurant that they’d chosen to eat at, Stephen suddenly looked at Kylie and said, “I’ve got a bad feeling about it. Let’s eat somewhere else.”
Kylie looked at him strange though and said, “We’re already here. If there are no seats available, we’ll go somewhere else.”
Kylie took Stephen’s hand and, before he could protest any more, she pulled him in. They went up to the hostess stand then, and before they could even ask for a table, the landlady came over to greet them. “Miss. Finch,” she gushed. “It is good to see you again, and I hope that you brought your appetite! Will you be ordering a hotpot again?”
“You know me too well,” Kylie laughed; she smiled and introduced Stephen to the landlady, who then made a point of showing them to their table and taking their orders.
When the food arrived, Kylie began to eat as fast as she could. After a few minutes, though, she noticed that Stephen wasn’t eating at all. She looked at him with a frown on her face and told him to eat. He just looked back at her and said that he didn’t eat hotpots.
“Then why did you order it?” Kylie hissed. “Why didn’t you order something that you like?”
Kylie stood up quickly and threw her napkin in his face. “This is bullshit,” she said. “I am obviously not going to sit here eating while you just watch me. Your butler would have a fit. I’m out of here!”
On her way out the door, Kylie practically ran into a man who seemed very familiar to her. He was tall and lean. He wore a black suit. His hair was short and stylishly unkempt, and there was a pretty girl on his arm. As he walked, he turned his head to talk to the woman beside him. She had fair skin and blond hair. She was curvy, and just by looking at her, Kylie could tell that she was Russian.
Kylie’s heart missed a beat as a name popped into her head: Ethan Parker. Even though she had a name and a face, she knew she still had nothing. The most important part of the equation was what her relation to him was. Without that, she had nothing.
Ethan’s gaze had been so fixed on the Russian girl, though, that he hadn’t even noticed her as they’d butted shoulders. Kylie watched them as they took to the upper level. The girl was clumsy, and Ethan had to correct her step multiple times to prevent her from falling – and the whole scene made her feel jealous for reasons that she didn’t understand. She was dying to follow them, but she couldn’t explain why. I have no ties to him, she told herself. Furthermore, I am married to Stephen, so even looking upon Ethan lustfully is a sin!
In order to stall for time, Kylie ordered a to-go meal for Stephen, something she knew he would like. The bartender told her that it would take twenty minutes, and she said that that would be alright.
Kylie was still watching Ethan when he stopped to look at the bar below him, and their eyes happened to meet.
Kylie was wearing a khaki knit dress, which showed her impressive figure and gave Ethan an impressive bird’s eye view of her ample cleavage. He seemed intrigued for an instant, but then his eyes darkened, and his brow furrowed, and he turned away.
Seeing the look on Ethan’s face and his eyes’ focus, the Russian girl turned to him and asked him if he knew the beautiful girl who appeared to be waiting for take-out.
Ethan frowned, and he said, “She looked familiar but, no, I do not know her.”
“Alright,” the Russian girl laughed. As she took his arm to lead him the rest of the way upstairs, she said, “Now that that’s settled, why don’t we enjoy ourselves?”
Sitting by the bar, Kylie felt unsettled by the fact that Ethan had turned away from her in a way that suggested they didn’t know each other. The moment she’d seen him, a part of her hoped that he might have answers to some of the questions that Stephen did not seem willing to answer.
Suddenly, it occurred to Kylie to follow him upstairs. As soon as the idea popped into her head, she knew that it was a bad one, but, like a moth drawn to fire, the idea drew her. Step by step, she scolded herself, but she didn’t slow down even once.
Near the top of the stairs, there was a group of people chatting. They were in her way and, even after she’d said “excuse me” three times, they’d hardly moved. So, having no other recourse, she pushed herself through the sweaty bodies. Then, when she was just about through, she tripped over someone’s foot, fell, and landed on Ethan and the Russian girl. The Russian girl had a drink in her hand, and it splashed all over her as she dropped her glass.
The Russian girl pushed her aside and said, “God! Look what you’ve done! Could you be any more careless?!?!”
Before the Russian girl could berate her any further, Ethan helped her up and asked her if she was okay. Kylie, who was fuming after she’d been treated so callously by the Russian girl, was in no mood for sympathy. She pulled her arm away and said, “Never mind. I know that you don’t care anyway.”
“You’ve got it wrong,” Ethan replied. He told the Russian girl to go get a new drink, and then he led Kylie back downstairs and to the side of the building where they could talk uninterrupted. When they got there, Kylie suddenly felt like she’d gotten in over her head, and she began to look for ways to escape.
Seeing the look in her eyes, Ethan grabbed her shoulder. He looked her in the eyes and said, “If you try to run, I will chase you down and punish you on the spot!”
Hearing his threat, Kylie pounded on his back, scratched his arms, and cursed his name. He had a strong body, though, and her assault went mostly unnoticed by him. Once she’d run out of energy, Ethan grabbed her by the hair, dragged her across the street to where his car was parked and shoved her into the back seat.
Not knowing what was coming next, Kylie begged him not to kill her.
Ethan laughed as he got into the seat beside her. “I’m not going to kill you,” he said. “I just want to know why you lied to me, and then I want to teach you a lesson so that you don’t do it again!”
Kylie tried to open the door to escape, but Ethan had the child locked in. Laughing, he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her to himself. “Perhaps the punishment should come first,” he whispered, “and then you will be ready to confess your sins!”This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.
Already, Ethan’s cock was rock hard, and Kylie could feel it. Inside her mind, she was thinking, Make this stop. This is not right. I am a married woman, and I can’t let this man rape me. For every thought she had, though, her body had a counter-argument. His body had a familiarity to it that she could not account for or deny, and her body was responding in ways that she couldn’t understand – and even if it came down to rape, her basic instinct reminded her that rape isn’t always rape.
“We can’t do this,” she argued. “My husband is still inside the restaurant. If he finds us together, it will be bad for both of us.”
Ethan’s brows rose, and he looked at Kylie. Somehow, she looked different than she had the night before. “Do you remember what we did last night?” he asked her.
Kylie frowned and said, “I do not.”
Ethan smiled. “That is quite queer,” he said. “It is not the end of the world, though. I can remind you now!”
