Chapter 187: Did You Even Care?
Kylie found it odd that someone would break into her house. She lived a very simple life and didn’t really have anything valuable to steal. She returned to her seat and apologized to everyone. She had no choice but to leave early. William offered to drive her home but was refused.
“Stay here,” she firmly said. “I can get home on my own. There is no reason for us both to miss out on the celebrations.” She just doesn’t like the idea of coming near to William.
When Kylie arrived at her home, she was surprised to see that it had not only been burglarized, but it had actually been ransacked. Without most of her property, the place looked very big and very bleak. The furniture, the household appliances, even the pots, pans, and bowls were all missing – and she found Ethan Parker wandering suspiciously in her kitchen. He had one hand in his trousers pocket, and the other was holding a lit cigar. The tall man stood straight, and, somehow, he did not look out of place.
She was surprised to see him at her house. “What is he doing here?” She thought in silence.
Ethan suddenly turns around and finds Kylie stood next to him. He calmly looked at Kylie and said, “I called the police as soon as I got here. They should be here any minute.”
Kylie nodded her head and said, “Thank you!” She feels shy to face him right now. It has been how many days she didn’t see this man after the day he left her without a word.
Marta was standing not far away, on the balcony. Seeing how Kylie had arrived, she asked if there was anything that she could do. “It’s okay,” Kylie replied morosely. “You can go home. I will call you if I need anything.”
Once Marta was gone, Kylie crossed her arms beneath her breasts, looked up at Ethan, and said, “Are you leaving too, or will you wait with me until the police arrive?”
Ethan frowned, inhaled deeply on the cigar, strode over to where Kylie was standing until his close proximity made her nervous. When Ethan was about an inch away from her, she put her hand on his chest and pushed him backward.
She felt nervous, drawing her body to him. She feels his strong body scent.
Suddenly Ethan took a firm step forward, leaned in, and kissed Kylie hard on the mouth. He poured all his energy into his kiss. He missed his wife so much. Kylie tried to pull away, but he held her tight. His kisses were fierce and overbearing. He nibbled on her lips and sucked them into his mouth until, gradually, he moved on to her earlobes, neck, and collarbone. He can’t let go of her this time. After they both ran out of breath, Ethan parted their lips.
Now that she could talk again, she growled at him: “Ethan Parker, what the fuck are you doing!?!?!?”
“Can’t you tell?” Ethan laughed as he began to dry, hump her. “I am trying to fuck my own wife because I miss her!” His voice was dominant, and he was staring at her seriously. He wanted to cry because he had so many sleepless nights.
“You are a jerk!” Kylie shouted. “The police could be here at any moment!”
Smiling, Ethan began to sing the old N. W. A. song: Fuck The Police.
“Shut up,” Kylie cried. “How could I ever even think of being with you like that again? I saw what you were up to in Hamorna. I felt betrayed. No matter how tempted I might be to invite you into my bed, I never will. No matter how much you beg or apologize, I will not forgive you; once a cheater – always a cheater! I can’t forgive you, Ethan!”
“What are you talking about?” Ethan’s voice becomes gentle. “I didn’t cheat on you, and I never would. I only love you, why can’t you trust me?” The pain came across his heart while saying all these words.Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
In a calm voice, Kylie said, “I saw you, in Hamorna, out with a strange woman when you told me you were working. From the looks of it, it seems to me that the two of you live together. How long did you think that this could go on before I found out? Or were you so arrogant that you assumed I never would?”
Ethan didn’t say anything in response to her accusation. Instead, he picked her up and carried her to the balcony.
“You wretch,” Kylie yelled as she scratched at his arm. “Put me down!”
Kylie was surprised when, once they were on the balcony, he actually let her go. He still had her trapped, and she could feel his belt buckle against her, but at least he had let her down. He looked her in the eyes and said, “You once told me that the most important thing to have in a relationship is trust. At the time, I thought that I’d earned your trust, apparently not though. If I had truly earned your trust, at the very least, you would have asked me about the woman before you made these assumptions and ran away. We are a husband and wife, but you left me, Kylie! Did you even care how I feel when you rejected me?”
It began to rain slightly, and Ethan sat down with his back to the wall. He looked up at Kylie and said, “Come sit with me so that you don’t get wet. I obviously have a lot to explain. Honestly, though, I do not know where to begin…”
Kylie looked down at him and said, “I think that I would rather go inside, where it is not just dry, but also warm…”
“Please,” Ethan sighed, “sit down and stay with me a little while longer…”
Kylie quickly said, “But it’s raining!”
“The awning will protect us,” Ethan explained.
Kylie: “But it is also cold. I don’t want to catch a cold.”
“Fine,” Ethan said with a sigh, “let’s go in, and I’ll explain everything to you in the living room.”
