Chapter 34- Amara
Chapter 34- Amara
“I need to talk to the kids that will be shifting.” I said firmly as I stood outside the cabin.
“Who all are shifting?” Leo asked timidly.
“If it’s up to me only three of them will be shifting. As there is no other choice but to let Zeno shift, it will
be him, Francis and Fabian. I am not sure about Ben, Ethan, Lucas, Hudson and Archer. There is no
need for them to shift but the three boys would want to fight and as they don’t have the Alpha, Ben
would have to lead them. As for Ben, he doesn’t do anything without his twin. We have more chances
of a good battle with them together than separate. If Lucas, Archer and Hudson complies with not
shifting, only three people will be shifting.” I explained.
“Well that sounds complicated. How are you going to merge all these wolves in so less time? It will take
a toll on you. We do have a battle to fight.” Carter voiced.
“We don’t have a choice, do we? I can say that we have at most of a week to prepare. Those two guys
dying will alert them. Aria told me they seemed to be scouting in private. We need to hurry up.”
He nodded. I was about to talk when I heard movement in the woods. Everyone went into defense
mode. Are the demons attacking us now? We are not even slightly ready. We waited for the intruder to
show themselves in a tense silence.
I sighed in relief as the first person broke out of the tree line into the clearing. She was followed by
another and five more people joined them.
“Cass you scared the shit out of us.” I complained.
The evil witch cackled at our state and plastered a smirk on her face when she was done laughing at
our expense. Grayson shook his head at his wife with an amused smile. Sometimes I pity him.
“Well we couldn’t miss the fun. We made our way here as soon as I saw what was to come. I picked up
this vampire family on the way. I thought they would be useful. We can use as many hands as we can
get on the battle field.” Cassidy’s smirk went wide as she pointed towards the Knight family.
The Knights looked like they would rather be anywhere else than here. Especially Alexander. His face
had turned into hauntingly void of any emotions.
I rubbed my forehead to get my bearings together. With everything going on, I don’t think it’s a right
time for the Knights to reenter Aria’s life. My baby is already going through so much.
“I had a premonition.” Cassidy started, this time with a serious expression. Ahh! She means business.
“The demons are planning very carefully for the attack. They are ready in every aspect. The leader is
powerful but nothing Amara can’t handle. We need to forge a sword to kill that asshat of a demon but
that won’t be hard. I will do it but Amara will be the one killing him.”
I looked at her with my jaw hanging open. She was talking about killing a high level demon like she was
arranging a tea party.
“What the heck are you on about? What sword? How the heck am I supposed to kill him?” I asked.
I heard Steven chocking with laughter beside me. I am in a dire need of a normal person in my life.
“Well demons are creatures of darkness. Though weak but they dwell in the darkness.” Cassidy started
like she was talking to a two year old. “A spirit walker is a part of the light side but a powerful one. I will
forge a sword which you will have to plunge into the demon’s heart with transporting your spirit energy
through the sword into the demon’s heart. It will kill him. But the energy needs to be very powerful. We
might need to take some…uh… drastic steps.” Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
I looked at her confused.
“What do you mean by drastic steps?” I asked.
“We will talk about that later.” Cassidy said hastily. What is she hiding? “First we need to focus on the
shifting and hiding of our children and non-shifters.”
“Yeah we were just discussing that part.” Leo said.
“I have already talked to Austin about the possible hiding conditions. He is in for it. In a way they are in
danger as well. At least we will be able to protect each other together.” Cassidy said sighing.
This woman is always ahead of everyone. I couldn’t help myself but laugh at the bouncing witch. In a
way, I relieved that she is here. I was starting to lose my mind with the situation. I think everything will
go smoothly now.
