Devoted Love, Mr. Hayes’ Darling Wife

Chapter 1082: Tormenting her.

When he saw Nico making out with Micaela like it was nothing, Adam Rouco clenched his fist over his thin lips and coughed again.

That’s when Micaela reacted and with a jolt pushed Nico away in a hurry.

When she accidentally met the playful eyes of Adam Rouco, Micaela, who is usually so calm and collected, felt slightly embarrassed.

In public, there was not only Adam Rouco, but also Charro.

But Nico, a seasoned veteran, clearly knew neither modesty nor shame, and with one arm around Micaela, he lifted his foot to hook the rifle on the ground and picked it up with his other hand in a crisp, handsome gesture.

The Amengual Group owns several well-known entertainment companies, and Charro’s former employer is part of the Amengual Group, so naturally Charro knows Nico, who is not really a member of the entertainment industry, but is at least half of it.

Mr. Nico is also a regular solo hot headliner.

Here, Charro is in shock after his robbery, looking at Nico’s bewildered face, unable to distinguish between the real and the unreal.

Charro even slaps his face and hesitantly asks Micaela, “Micaela, are we dead?”

How else could he have met Nico in southern Africa, and Nico saved them with a gun?

Everything is dreamlike and unreal, like a dream.

Micaela couldn’t understand how Nico could be such a competent and accurate, if not brilliant, marksman, and she had a vague hunch that there was something more to this man.

Nico and Adam Rouco are from the International Alliance for Peace, with hidden identities, and they don’t want to scare the police.

Adam Rouco said, “Nico, we must leave, it won’t be easy when the police arrive.”

Nico looked at the few terrorists who had fallen to the ground and said to Charro, “Do the police know what to say if they take a statement from you?”

Charro looked at Nico, always frothing.

Nico deliberately raised his gun.

Charro was surprised and said, “Mr. Nico, you saved my life and I will never turn you in in retaliation! I’ll just say that I don’t know anything! Surely it was the comic book hero who landed and killed those terrorists!”

Nico emitted a soft hum with a nasal voice full of concern.

Adam Rouco, gun in hand and mask on, turns around and strides toward the side of the mountain buggy a short distance away.

Micaela was about to follow Charro into the house to free the hostages when she turned around and was pulled back by Nico’s arm.

“What for?” Nico looked at her menacingly.

“You and President Adam must leave quickly, the police must arrive soon.”

Micaela had a stoic look on her face, which irritated Nico inexplicably.

When other girls are in such a critical situation and almost lose their lives, their boyfriends suddenly come to their rescue as if they were gods, she should be grateful and jump into his arms and beg him to reconcile with him, after the disaster, shouldn’t she realize the true meaning of life and the importance of the person in front of her?

In her heart, there really was no place for him.

Nico gritted his teeth, feeling screwed, “I just saved your life and this is how you treat me?”.

Micaela frowned, puzzled, what should her attitude towards him be, she wasn’t ungrateful or was she?

“Nico, this is no time for tantrums, hurry up…”

Before Micaela’s words of advice had sunk in, Nico had already lifted Micaela onto his shoulders with one hand, “Don’t lecture me in a motherly tone, I’m your fucking man, not your son!”.

Micaela’s head was on the floor, weighted on his shoulders, her stomach, which had been empty after almost a day and a night without eating, was now pressed uncomfortably against the bones of the man’s hard, firm shoulders.

“Nico, put me down!”

“I don’t know.”

He’s her savior now, and she’s so ungrateful for not knowing more!

Nico carried Micaela and put her straight into the buggy.

Knocking the buggy door off with a bang!

Nico held the roof of the baby carriage and said to Adam Rouco in the other buggy, “We’ll split into two lanes and meet at the base.”

Adam Rouco yanked open the door and jumped into the car, throwing out the words, “Hurry up and don’t be silly, I’m in a hurry to get back to The Holy City. ”

“Murmur your sister! What have you to do as a widow, you have no bride, you have no wife.”

“Does going home for a blind date count? If she’s late will you help me go to my old man’s ideological education class?”

Nico was speechless, “You’re doing this on a blind date! I guess I underestimated you before.”

By then, Adam Rouco had pulled off with the buggy in front kicking up a trail of ash and driving away at breakneck speed.

Micaela, in the passenger seat, tried to open the door and was pulling it open when Nico pushed her violently back, and the man said, rather impatiently and fiercely, “Stay there!”

The car door was flung open by Nico.Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.

Soon, Nico also got into his car and sped off in the SUV.

The barren African savannah is so endless that the moonlit night seems to be on the same horizon as the savannah, near and far.

It was as if she and Nico were as close as they were far away.

All the way, the only sound in their ears was the roar of the SUV across the prairie and the sound of the wheels on the ground, and Nico remained silent all the way, his handsome face so stern that you could tell he was in a very bad mood.

Micaela finally spoke in a nonchalant manner, “Thank you for saving me just now.”

It was only a polite phrase.

Nico didn’t like the way Micaela was polite and distant with him, that look, turning people away with a hateful face.

Nico drove the buggy faster and bumpier, and even worse on the bumpier roads.

Where there are holes, load them up.

Micaela hadn’t eaten all day and night and her stomach was already burning like hell. At this point, after repeated bumps in the buggy, the acids in her stomach felt like they were dancing ballet in her stomach, turning over and over again.

Micaela nearly held it in and covered her mouth, “Stop the car! Stop the car … I want to vomit…”

Nico slammed on the brakes, showing no mercy whatsoever.

As soon as the car stopped, Micaela yanked open the door and jumped out, crouching down and vomiting on the grass, all yellow.

Nico remained silent as he sat in the car, not even looking at her, just staring coldly at the windshield.

Who is he to pity and feel for a woman who doesn’t love him and doesn’t want him?

But Micaela is still vomiting.

Nico couldn’t help but frown, annoyed to the max, and got out of the car and grabbed a bottle of water from the trunk before striding over.

Micaela had almost finished vomiting and Nico passed her the mineral water.

Micaela rinsed out her mouth, which was much better, and Nico put a handkerchief over her mouth again and wiped it without delicacy or even roughness.

Micaela pulled her hand away and scowled at him, “You’re hurting me.”

Nico scoffed, “Hurt? You still know it hurts? I thought you didn’t know.”

Nico threw the handkerchief away and climbed back into the car, sitting down with his chest heaving slightly from the fire.

Micaela stood outside the car, emotionally stoic for a moment.

Nico shouted coldly at her, “What are you still doing here, do you want to feed the wolves?”

“…”

Micaela climbed into the car quietly and, after taking a deep breath, couldn’t help but beg Nico, “Please drive slower, please.”

Nico grunted, turned the steering wheel and arrogantly returned two words, “Not me.”
