Devoted Love, Mr. Hayes’ Darling Wife

Chapter 1040: He’s Lovely

Nico drove aimlessly to the River Feast Road apartments.

When he came to his senses, he realized he had reached the bottom of the block of apartments.

It’s also very creepy.

Nico got out of the car and stood next to him for a cigarette before entering the apartment.

Pastora Apostol had left the apartment after settling Micaela in, and when Nico opened the door and walked in, he saw Micaela slumped in a muddy heap on the sofa, one arm sliding down and her fingertips touching the carpet.

And her face, half-drunk, half-red, like a piece of sheep’s jade with good natural blush, was excessively beautiful.

Nico hates drunk women, especially alcoholic women.

But Micaela is so beautiful that it’s hard to be annoying, even when she’s very drunk.

Nico reached over and kicked Micaela’s slender, well-toned calf hanging off the couch. “Drunk?”

This feeling of being kicked in the middle of sleep was something Micaela had had, and not for the first time.

Micaela closed her eyelids and was pierced by a flash of light. In her blurry vision, a slender, tall figure loomed in front of her, the figure of a man who looked like Nico.

But then again, it was unlikely to … it was Nico.

She knew she was drunk and thought she was hallucinating.

Micaela raised her hand, resting it weakly on her forehead with a tired sigh, “You cheated me out of nine million … and only now do you want to settle the score with me … heh …. . it’s too late … to spend it all.”

I was going to take the nine million and pay it in full. Although houses in The Holy City are very expensive, nine million is not small money and you can buy a very nice apartment in the city for nine million.

When she bought the house, she was able to bring her grandmother to live with her in the city.

The corners of Micaela’s lips curled at the thought.

Nico sat next to her, his back to her, but he couldn’t help but turn his head to look at her a couple of times.

Micaela, drunk but not much sleepier, pressed an arm to her forehead and close to her eyes, instinctively shielding herself from the harsh light, and muttered drunken words in a hoarse voice.

The look disheveled to the extreme.

Nico didn’t want her to feel so comfortable, so he reached up to pull her arm away from her eyes and asked fiercely, “What did you do with the nine million dollars and it’s gone in a jiffy, did you spend it on a woman?”

Micaela snarled, “I’m not going to wrap a white boy … all liars …”All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

Nico’s desire to strangle her was tempered by the fact that he had the sense to do it.

But the next moment, Micaela said, “I don’t do anything to get ripped off … … but I’m happy to rip people off …. ”

Nico looked at her coldly with the look of a dead man, “what are you playing with?”.

Micaela reached up and pushed the thin halter off her shoulder, it slid down to reveal a larger area of snow white skin and scenery, she was quite pleased, “Even Nico has said I’m quite … I could probably fool a lot of people with this …. …”

The man stared at her with a cold, ice-heavy stare as the man spoke word for word through gritted teeth, “And did Nico ever say that if you dare to turn him green like that, you’ll be killed?”

“Get killed … hehe…” Micaela laughed fearlessly as she hugged a pillow and buried her face in it with little pleasure, the “It’s good that they kill me …. there’s no point in living anyway…”

As she removed her armor, her side face fell to dejection, and the cloud of grim anger that Nico had suppressed in her heart subsided for no apparent reason.

Nico looked at her and asked, “Why do you think there’s no point in living?”

“It’s kind of pointless … To obsess about … this thing I don’t have.”

Micaela keeps smiling, a faint, muffled smile; the woman doesn’t really seem to cry much.

Indeed, there is no point in living with no attachments and the only desire for revenge.

Nico approached her with a lot of anger, but in the end it was like a fist hitting cotton, without a sound.

The man watched her for a long time, but finally sighed lightly, stood up, bent down and lifted her up with the thin blanket over her.

Up the stairs to the bedroom.

As Nico was about to take her to bed, Micaela suddenly looked at him in a daze, “You still want to sleep with me?”

“…”

Before Nico could react, her neck was enveloped by a pair of slender arms and Micaela took the initiative to kiss her thin lips, teasing and aroused.

She teased, “Having slept with them so many times, it’s not like this is the worst.”

And, still, in her dreams, in her dreams, sleeping all she wanted.

“Mr. Nico … did I mention … you’re pretty good at sleeping …”

“…” He was actually abused by a woman.

Micaela wrapped her arms around his neck and pushed Nico violently onto the bed, both of them falling messily onto the mattress.

Nico’s large hand cushioned the back of his head from hitting the counter, and Micaela was chained to his arms, her dark, starry eyes fogged with drunkenness, and it was pitiful to watch.

Micaela reached out and grabbed his shirt, questioningly domineering, “Why… why do you treat me so badly? I’ve been so obedient, what more do you want? Why do you want to help the Matamoros family…? Nico… I said you can do whatever you want with me… but why do you have to help La Matamoros family… Why do you have to go against me? Why? Why? You know… I hate… people who work against me…”

As she stared at him, her eyes, at the corners, blushed slightly, as if she had felt aggrieved.

Finally, Nico reached up and gently touched the back of her neck, saying softly, “No one is going to go against you.”

At least, he didn’t.

Micaela’s soft red lips moved to his ear, her delicate fingertips brushed the bridge of his high, hard nose and grazed the corner of his lips, murmuring as if pouring out bitterness, “You know you’re kind of cute if you don’t hire me?”

Charming?

Nico thought it was an adjective for cute and frowned, a big man resents it when people use cute to describe him.

Micaela leaned back against his neck and closed her eyes, too tired to sleep.

To Micaela, the man who once stood before her pushing a Barbie doll cart was probably cute enough to like.
