Chapter 11
Title: Tortured Oscar
“I can’t believe you made me do your dirty job on my first day here. We’ve been away for like six years now, is this how you are supposed to welcome me?” Miguel complained to me as I pulled over in front of the warehouse, and I rolled my eyes.
“Stop complaining,” I replied to him casually as I pushed the car door open and alighted from the car. He did the same thing.
Earlier today, I was in the office when I saw the video of someone being bullied online and I lost it the moment I realized that the person was May. My office was far from the park and since my brother said he was at the airport close to the park, I had to send him May’s picture and the location so he could go take care of things there.
“Ugh! You are so annoying,” He whined as he walked behind me. I tucked my hands inside my pockets as I strode toward the entrance of the warehouse, and the dark place welcomed us as soon as we walked inside.
“Where is he?” I turned to Miguel and asked once we were standing inside the warehouse. It was so dark in here that I had to switch on the torchlight of my phone.
“I kept him in the storage room. I’ll go get him,” He said and walked away while I waited for him.
Five minutes passed and I was already getting impatient before he finally brought the bastard to me, and as soon as they got to where I was, Miguel hit the back of his leg and sent him on his knees.
“Please spare me… Please don’t kill me,” The bastard pleaded as he lay on the ground and rolled on it, begging for his life.
“What’s your name?” I asked as I stared down at him.
“Oscar, Sir,” He replied to me with fear resounding in his voice, and I slowly nodded.
“Oscar…” I repeated in a whisper and finally removed my hands from my pockets.
“Why is his face still intact?” I looked at Miguel and asked coldly.
“At your service, brother,” He smirked at me, then pulled the Oscar guy up and punched his face multiple times.
“How dare you touch her! Do you want to die?” Miguel asked angrily as he kept punching Oscar in the face until he was left half-dead.
Miguel tightened his fist and was going to give him another punch before I stopped him. Of course, I didn’t want the guy dead. At least not yet.
“Why did you touch my woman?” I asked as I walked over to him and squatted in front of him.
“You wouldn’t want me to repeat myself, trust me,” I held his head and raised his face to look at me, and as I shone the torch light on his face, he could barely open his eyes to look at me. His face was covered in blood after the series of punches.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
“Pl… ea… se… For… give me…” He gagged for breath as tears streamed down his cheeks.
“You can’t take much beating and you are hurting my woman?” I scoffed angrily and threw my face away. As the image of what he did to May flashed through my mind, the only thing I could think of, was to make him pay by taking his life instantly.
“If you had wanted to punch someone, why not man enough and go fight your fellow man at the boxing ring?” I grabbed his hair tightly and he yelped in pain. I wanted to pull it off his scalp. How could he have done that to May?
“Please… Please don’t… don’t kill me,” He cried out and since his hands were tied behind him, he couldn’t struggle.
“I didn’t know she was your woman… I wouldn’t have dared to touch her. Please spare me,” He pleaded for his life after I let go of his hair, and I briefly sighed.
“Give me a reason I should spare you?” I asked him as I stood up.
“I will ask for her forgiveness… I will go apologize to her for doing that…”
“She gave you a roof over your head, fed you for years, and all you could was cheat on her, and as if that was not enough, you fucking abused her!” I felt my blood boil in rage, disgusted by the sight of this bastard. The urge to kill him for hurting May kept hitting at me, but I chose to keep calm. Of course, I would still kill him, but just not yet.
“Please forgive me,” He pleaded then spat out blood and gasped for breath.
“Tell me to forgive you one more time and I promise that it’ll be the last words you would ever get to say. I promise,” I yelled at him, and he flinched fearfully.
I breathed in and out while trying to stay calm, but that horrible image kept popping up in my head. The image of how horrible she must’ve felt, how she must’ve cried her eyes out when this bastard cheated on her, how she must’ve felt at the park earlier when he was abusing her. The thought of everything made my heart sting.
“Should I kill him, brother?” I heard Miguel’s voice, and I looked at him.
“Not yet. Lock him up,” I replied to him, and he nodded.
“Also, contact Lucas and have him pull down the videos on the internet. I don’t want any trace of what happened earlier today,” I said to Miguel then glanced at the bastard one more time and finally walked out of the warehouse, leaving Miguel to take care of things there.
I waited for Miguel in the car for ten minutes before he finally came to join me.
“You still look angry, brother. Do you want to drink or…”
“Do you have a cigarette there with you?” I cut him off, and he scoffed.
“You know I don’t smoke,” He reminded me. Miguel was a medical doctor so I wasn’t expecting a health expert to smoke, yeah?
“Just drive me home,” I muttered as I fastened my seatbelt.
“Alright,” He started the car, and the ride home began.
“You must really like sister-in-law, right?” Miguel broke the silence as he drove us down the road.
“Hmm,” I just hummed as I stared out through the window. Yes, I’ve always liked May. From the first day she stepped into my company and became my secretary, I’ve liked her since then. Everything she did made me fall for her even more, but I was scared of confessing to her, scared of getting rejected.
“You must really like her a lot to confess to me, hmm?” Miguel spoke up again and even though I hated to admit it, I found myself nodding my head and smiling.
“I’m glad you finally found love. I was scared for some time that you were not going to get married forever. I’m just wondering why you didn’t tell me you got married. It’s suspicious,” He said again.
“We are not married for real. It’s a contract marriage,” I replied to him casually, and the car made a loud screeching sound before it pulled over, causing us to jerk.
“What was that?” I looked at him and snapped…
