Contract Go Wrong: The CEO’s Tempting Bride

I Need Your Help

“Wait, Gina… I know that look” Dinah laughed and continued. “Do you like him? how does he look like? is he handsome? come on answer me!”

She immediately activated her gossipy mood, her large eyes dancing with excitement, grabbing the attention of the other staffs who were inside the kitchen.

“Stop it” Gina shoved her hand away with a chuckle as the enthusiastic girl had gripped her shoulders and was practically jumping up and down.

She evaded her questions then said, “Dinah… can you do something for me please?”

“Of course, what is it?” Dinah nodded eagerly, her eyes still flashing with excitement.

Gina bit her lips, contemplating for a while, then said, “I… I want you to go to the mansion and help me pack some things”

If she went back to the mansion, then everyone would surely freak out especially the maids who would have thought that she was on her honeymoon. Thankfully, her friend’s mind did not wander to that.

“Okay,” Dinah instantly agreed, but then paused with a confused look. “Wait, you didn’t pick anything? “ she asked.

“Y… Yeah,” Gina scratched the back of her neck and laughed nervously. “I was actually in a rush, and didn’t have time to pack.”

“Oh…” Dinah giggled while giving her a knowing look then stood up. “Let’s go to my apartment and wait.”

She unwrapped her apron and grab Gina’s hand. “I’ll have to take an early leave from the manager, wait for me at the entrance.”

“Okay,” Gina smiled at her gratefully and headed out of the bakery.

Her gaze darted anxiously around the streets, hoping she wouldn’t spot the military guy’s car among the many cars passing by.

Shortly after, Dinah came out of the bakery and they hailed a taxi.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Inside the car, Dinah who still couldn’t contain her excitement held Gina’s hands and said,

“Gina, after I return you must fill me in on every information, okay?… I can’t wait to know more about your mysterious husband. Ahh, how lucky of you. And he even saved your family’s business.”

Gina bit her lips and looked down at their intertwined hands. “I know right… I  didn’t expect I could be so lucky. Don’t worry, you guys will soon meet.”

“Hehehe” Dinah chuckled with a nod. “Of course, you deserve a good man. Thankfully, you didn’t end up with that scumbag.”

Gina knew that she was speaking about Greg, and she sighed inside.

Dinah was still babbling non-stop and didn’t pause until the taxi arrived at a tall apartment building.

They went inside the building which contained many apartments.

Although Dinah’s family was not that poor, she was from another city and had to move here because of her job.

While walking up the stairs, they were still holding hands and Gina smiled sadly. Thinking back to the many times Dinah would stand up for her when she was bullied by other students at school.

Knowing her friend’s temperament, she wouldn’t risk informing her anything about the kind of person Adrian was.

When they reached her apartment, Dinah took out a key from her pants pocket then unlocked it.

It was a single room apartment and Gina admired the decorations and portraits which mostly contained pictures of her.

This place was practically her second home, and she could remember all those happy times she would come here if bored in the mansion.

She sat down on the bed, while Dinah changed her clothes. “Cook something before I come back. Oh, and I mean noodles, nothing else, okay?”

Dinah warned before going out.

Gina shook her head with a chuckle and after the girl left, her gaze wandered the room again with a small smile.

She caressed a portrait which had a picture of them both, in high school uniform and smiling brightly at the camera.

Dinah was a genius and had snagged a scholarship to that school. But too bad, she still couldn’t land a nice job after college.

Standing up, she removed her coat and started cooking with the small microwave sitting at a corner in the room.

She cooked a lot as she was also hungry, and when Dinah returned, the food was ready.

“Urgh! I’m famished” Dinah dropped the huge bag in her hands, sat down beside her on the carpet, and started digging into her food.

“You can’t believe how the servants bombarded me with so many questions. I had to flee immediately I got the chance” she muttered incoherently while eating.

Gina who had left her food and had opened the bag chuckled. “Did you meet Dad?” she asked.

“Nope,” Dinah shook her head and answered, “Uncle wasn’t home, the servants said that he hasn’t returned”

Gina paused and sighed then, she continued unpacking her things.

Her phone, diary, jewelries, some accessories, and even her credit card were inside. And also some of her clothes.

“I know you loved those so much that’s why I brought them along,” Dinah said while pointing at the clothes. She could remember that Gina had designed them herself.

Gina nodded, her gaze not leaving the exquisite clothes. “Thanks a lot, Dinah” she hugged her arm and Dinah chuckled.

“I didn’t expect you to also leave your phone behind. It’s no wonder I couldn’t reach you… you’re so weird Gina, I could see that you were as eager as your groom.”

“Stop it!” Gina pushed her away as she put the things back. Her expression turned gloomy when her friend turned her attention to the food.

She gazed at her diary with a sad smile. Even though her painful memories were written in it, she couldn’t find the courage to part with it, because it also contains her most blissful memories.

After zipping the bag, she switched on her phone and tapped inside it anxiously.

She found many texts from her friend just as the girl had said, and even her father. He might be worried sick that he couldn’t reach her.

Her eyes watered and she quickly regained her composure, then tapped on the calendar, hoping she hadn’t missed her grandfather’s birthday.
