Chapter 20
I. T. tracked Raine. He told the brothers that they are headed towards the Vanderbilt estate. Meanwhile in Marty’s car.
“You know the club will come after me.” Raine cautioned.
“I know, I have it all planned out.” Marty smirked.
That was what Raine was waiting on. An excuse to goad him into bragging about what he done. Anything to get him admitting to illegal activity to put him away for good.
“Yeah right! What do you know about plans?” Raine asked.
“Honey, I am now king of our hometown. The cops and drug dealers are all on my payroll. I control them. And they are all ready to give your club a great big welcome party!” Marty laughed.
“Yeah, well my guys will be ready for that I trust them and know they will help me.” Raine replied.
“Honey your trust is in the wrong people. You need to put your trust in me. I always get my way.” Marty grinned.
“I can’t trust you. Not when I know you’ve been keeping secrets from me!” Raine retorted.
“Just know that you can.” Marty replied.
“I cannot be with anyone I can’t trust.” Raine scoffed.
“You’ll come around.” Marty replied.
“You’ll have to rape me, because I will never come around!” Raine retorted.
“I don’t rape women.” Marty snarled.
“Then what do you call it when you forced your cock in my ass and I repeatedly screamed no!?” Raine asked.
“You wanted it. You were just playing hard to get.” Marty replied.
“No, I wasn’t!! You hurt me every time! I bled because of you! I hated every minute of it!” Raine explained.
“I promised you I wouldn’t do that again.” Marty retorted. “Why do you have to keep bringing it up?”
“Fine. So, why did you have grandpa committed?” Raine asked.
“After dad died, he became very depressed and even suicidal.” Marty replied.
“I don’t believe that for one second! Now quit lying to me! I told you I would never be with you if I can’t trust you. So, it starts now. No lies! Or I swear you will never fuck me again!” Raine warned.
“Fine. He was a meddling old fart. Always sticking his nose into my business. Trying to tell me what to do. I needed him out of my business.” Marty explained.
“And your dad?” Raine asked.
She saw his grin. “He found you out, didn’t he? He was going to cut you off!”
His fingers formed into a fist. “That’s all in the past. It doesn’t concern you and why are you even asking anyway?” Marty asked.
“Because. I need to know everything. I need to know what I’m going back to. I need to know if I need to watch my back or expect a visit from the cops.” Raine replied.
“You don’t have to worry about the cops. Most of them are on my payroll. They answer to me.” Marty laughed.
“You do know that even if they are on your payroll, they probably keep evidence for their protection.” Raine cautioned.
“I’m not worried. I have way too much on them. They know better than to cross me. People end up dead when they do.” Marty smirked.
“Why did you have my mother killed?” Raine asked.
“Where did you hear that nonsense? Ahh, let me guess, that biker trash you were living with!” Marty snarled.
“Don’t lie to me Marty! You were seen in a heated argument with her before it happened!” Raine warned.
“I wouldn’t harm your mom. I knew how much you loved her.” Marty replied.
“The black F150 was registered to Tommy, who I know is your gun for hire. How many times have you introduced me to him in the past? I know you’ve used him to do your dirty work.” Raine retorted.
“I see someone has been doing their homework.” Marty amused.
“I just want to know why?” Raine cried.
“Why Marty? What did you have to gain by getting rid of my mom? What was so awful about your argument, that you had to have her killed and removed from my life?” She asked.
“She saw me with my dealer. She found out I was snorting Coke, and she said she was going to tell you and refuse to let you see me anymore. And she said she was going to make sure my dad knew what I was doing also.” Marty sighed.
“I couldn’t have her doing that. I’d lose you and my dad would cut me off. I’d lose everything. She wouldn’t listen to reason. I had no choice.” He retorted.
“Yeah, well you lost me after all, so how well did that work for you?” Raine huffed.
“We still had several good years together.” Marty replied.
“Parents refuse to let their kids see their boyfriends all the time. Doesn’t mean their daughters listen to them. And even so, their boyfriends don’t hire a professional killer to take care of them. That is so wrong Marty!” Raine explained.
“I wasn’t going to lose you.” Marty replied.
“Let me get one thing straight. You and YOU alone are the reason I left. You are the reason I am not with you.” Raine replied.
“Well, that doesn’t matter anymore. We are back together now.” Marty smiled.Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.
“You are so beyond delusional. And you’re a murderer. You’re also a kidnapper. You forced me to come with you against my will. How could I ever be with you again? You, Marty, can go straight to hell!” Raine retorted.
“Watch how you talk to me. You know how I get when I get mad!” Marty cautioned.
“You promised! Already your promise means nothing.” Raine whispered.
“Then don’t make me mad so I can keep that promise!” Marty replied.
Raine crossed her arms over her chest and looked out the window. She fell asleep as she was so tired from the drive. When the car finally stopped, she woke up. She looked out the window and saw the estate.
“Honey we’re here, we’re home!” Marty smiled.
They went inside. “I’ll give you a little time to see things my way. We’ll be married at the courthouse on Monday. Then you will share my bed. I want at least one heir, but if you want more kids, I am open to it.”
“So, you have the weekend to get over it and deal with it.” Marty smirked.
He grabbed her arm and took her to a bedroom. After she was inside, he left and locked the door behind him.
“No way in hell!” Raine muttered. “MISSION COMPLETE!”
Back to the MC. The club had already been following behind them. They were about an hour and a half behind. They left as soon as the detective let them.
Plus, they didn’t want to be too close and have Marty get suspicious. Jax was able to hear their complete conversation. He was enraged over what Raine let slip.
I. T. had it all on recording as well. Jax may not let the fucker go to jail, he may end up permanently missing. Yeah, he was thinking six feet under would be best.
