“Ah, it is Clara from the HR department,” the man managing the electricity said.

“Can we call her?” Jaxton said fuming.

He understood Stdney had urged them to keep their relationship on the low but due to his jealousy he somehow had made it known which wasn’t a bother.

But the fact that this want took upon herself to go and take pictures for whatever reason she has to explain to them what she was doing there.

“Yes sir you called me?” she came in with a scared look on her face.

“Who sent you?” were the first words to leave Jaxton’s lips and he looked like he was going to pounce on her any minute if she didn’t tell him what she was up to and who had sent her.

“Nobody sir”.

” Why were you taking pictures of Sydney and me?” he asked her and she stood there confused and frightened she had not thought they would see her da e or even call her.

But that was where she slipped because of course the company was big and that meant they had cameras all around so she was stupid to think she would j9y be seen or caught.

“For this reason, you would be punished severely Jaxton would make sure you would never be able to have a job around these parts ever again until you change from your cunning ways”listening to this Sydney began to feel bad for the little woman who had probably been playing round since she wanted something to gossip on.

” Jax, don’t you think that is super harsh at the moment maybe you could suspend her or something not take her job away please,” she said with Jaxton on the side as she felt bad the woman might be losing her job on her account.

“But she scared you and you know how I feel about you being scared,” he said.

“Yes I do but then again she is human and we do these things to satisfy ourselves sometimes,” She said and as she said it Jacton calmed down and turn to look at Clara who was on her knees already begging to be spared.

.”How many pictures did you take?” Sydney finally asked calmly this time.

“I took just five pictures”

“Who were you going to hand them to?” she asked again.

“Just a little rumour around the office about you both facing and breaking up from wanted to let them know you both were still together” Clara explained head down as she feared what could happen if she had her head raised.

“So can you give me the phone I would like to delete the pictures myself,” Sydney said as she extended her hands and Clara gave her the phone with the gallery on full display.

The pictures were more than five but she wouldn’t let Jaxton have the benefit of making the woman more sacred than she already was.

Sydney knew the woman was panicky and if she would have made Jacton know the phone had more it wouldn’t have been an easy ride for the lady on her knees.

After selecting the pictures and finally deleting them she decided to announce that she had deleted them.

“Deleted” Sydney announced and then she went to the recycle bin area of the phone and made sure she deleted the pictures permanently before finally handing the phone to Clara who took the phone graciously.

“You are suspended for one week, I don’t want to see him around this office if it isn’t one week tops, have I made myself clear?” Jaxtok asked his voice a different shade of scared.

“Yesni promise you, I would not do that again I am sorry sir” Calra apologised and left.

At least she wasn’t embarrassed in front of her other colleagues and she could just tell them he had taken a one-week sick leave and she couldn’t thank Sydney enough.

“Assembly meeting now” Jaxton ordered before she could finish packing her things to leave for home for her supposed sick one-week leave.

“It has come to my notice that you all have decided to be private detectives and instead of having lunch peacefully at the time it is given to you, some of you have decided to make yourself useful by being detectives.

If you know you know you wish to be a detective do well to go to a school for that and not to make myself and those I chose to associate with feel uncomfortable, Ms Clara here has been suspended till further notice and to that effect,

I dare any of you to do the same thing she just did and risk losing your jobs forever” Jaxtom said.

This left all of the employee’s insolences ajar as she had already told them she was going on sick leave and had not explained to them what had transpired.

Even those who had sent her on the mission were not supportive and this just made Clara even madder at herself for associating to do such.

She carried her bags whilst her friends gave her goodbyes

Everyone went back to work bearing in mind that they could be next to be suspended or fired if they didn’t mind their businesses and focused on what they had been hired to do.

Just the Paxton entered the building as he had gone for a lunch break and saw that his brother and Sydney were leaving while everyone was in a gloomy mood.

He followed Sydney to her room to ask what exactly had happened and Sydney urged him to take a sit while she explained to him what exactly had transpired between Clara and herself.

And Paxton becomes protective all of a sudden as he felt the need to send everyone home.

“But are you fine?” he asked and she accepted she was.
