Chapter 2
Before Alicia could recover from her shock, she saw her best friend Lindsay Crouch walking in, with one hand hooked Jeremy's arm.
Alicia was shocked!
Her eyes suddenly widened a little, looked at them in disbelief.
At the same time, Lindsay looked around the room and her stares stopped deliberately at the wrinkled and messy bed for a few seconds.
There were no bloodstains on the white sheets! This was surprising! So it wasn't her first time sleeping with a man? If she had known about this before, she wouldn't have given it a second thought!
There was inexplicable joy on Lindsay's face, but she pretended to feel sorry for Alicia.
'Alicia, it's my father's birthday today. Couldn't you restrain yourself? Why do you have to do...this kind of thing? What's all the fuss about? I've wasted a year pouring my heart out to you and Jeremy couldn't stop thinking about you.
It sounded like Lindsay was implying that it wasn't the first time Alicia had behaved this way!
Jeremy spoke impatiently: "There is no need to tale to such a hypocritical b*tch!"
"Jeremy, don't say that! It was me who couldn't help falling in love with you. And I feel so guilty!" Lindsay pleaded.
"You're too kind!" Alicia said.
Looking at the two of them echoing one after another, Alicia felt so confused. "Hypocritical? B*tch?"
"D*mn it! He said he loved me but he was the one who abandoned me at the wedding, ruining my family. And up until now, he hasn't even offered an explanation."
"As for Lindsay, she pretended to care about her and was even more indignant than me to abuse Jeremy a sc*mbag. But behind my back, she behaves like this..."
"Who is more hypocritical? Who is more of a b*tch here?" Alicia thought to herself.
She hadn't expected to hear such words coming from a man that she had loved and waited for three years. She felt as if all her dreams and hopes had vanished into thin air. She got up and said with a sneer,
"Well, it seems that we can see through each other and agree on understanding who the b*tch is here".
Pushing the two away, Alicia picked up her clothes from the floor and went to the bathroom. She didn't remember how she got home. When she closed the door, she couldn't help but burst into tears.
At the Starlite Nightclub, Frederick Clements had just walked to the door of the private room of the nightclub when he bumped into Carson Vives. He pulled him by the arm. Carson stared at him, stunned.
"Frederick, your eyes-'lthey've changed color!
"Had he lost his virginity?" Carson thought to himself.
Carson looked around in disbelief. He was surprised, but Frederick remained silent with a gloomy face.
"Frederick, who's this chick so charming that she managed to attract your attention?"
After confirming that the color of his eyes had changed from familiar "black" to "dark blue", Carson could not hide his surprise. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
If he didn't see it with his own eyes, he wouldn't believe it!
The two brothers from the Clements family are both young, handsome and promising, but they had very different attitudes towards women. One was a real playboy, and the other one preferred to ignore women. No wonder everyone expected Trevor Clements, the playboy, to be the first one 'to reveal' their special family gene, instead of the femalehater Frederick.
"If you keep your mouth shut, no one will regard you as a mute!" He was touching Frederick's sore spot.
Frederick still could feel slight pain in his eyes, that reminded him of what've just happened. It all stirred a new wave of anger in him and he swiftly strode past Carson heading to the private room.
The next day, when Alice woke up, still a bit confused, she realised she was still holding a blue brocade box in her hand. Inside was a pair of butterfly- shaped diamond earrings. They were shining bright under the light.
These earrings were a token of love with which Jeremy had proposed to her last year—
Her heart suddenly ached. She shoved her hand into the drawer and abruptly felt nauseous and then ran into the bathroom.
"Ugh-"
