Arrogant Man VS Unyielding Woman

Chapter 471 You Are So Amazing

Chapter 471 You Are So Amazing

"Jean…" Zed's face turned gloomy and dark. And he sternly chided her in a disappointed tone as he

glared at her,"How many times do I have to tell you? You are pregnant now. You must be careful while

doing something as simple as walking on the road. I expected better from you than putting yourself in

unnecessary danger. You come with me to the doctor and get checked up. If you are fine, I will forgive

you this once only. But if something has happened to you, then I am going to punish you even more!"

Jean had already expected Zed to be angry when she had seen him. What was unexpected was

exactly how much angrier he was than she had thought.

"I am sorry, Zed. I won't do anything like this ever again. I was worried about Moore so I went out with

him. I hadn't expected that such a bad thing would happen to me outside."

Jean said dejectedly.

"You clearly know how dangerous it is for you to remain outside," Zed was still a little angry and was

still acting stern and tough. "Jean, from now on, you are not allowed to leave the house. You have to

stay indoors at all times. Do you understand?"

"What?" Jean stared at her husband in shock. What he had just said was unbelievable.

'Is Zed going to ground me at home and not let me leave until the baby comes?'

Jean wondered, 'Is that really necessary?'

She wanted to refuse those orders there and then, but when she saw just how angry Zed was at her,

she merely drooped her shoulders and let it be. She had to accept the punishment for at least now.

"Okay! I will listen to whatever you say. Please stop being angry, okay?" Jean swayed Zed's arm gently

in an effort to sway him to her side.

She was thinking, 'If I keep arguing with Zed about my punishment right now, that would be a stupid

idea.

He is really angry at the moment and any further arguments will only add fuel to the fire.

I should be patient for a few days and whenever Zed is in a good mood, I will talk to him. It will be

easier to convince him to reconsider in the future.'

Zed hadn't expected that Jean would be so obedient and perhaps that was why he was slightly

surprised.

'It looks like she has accepted her faults and agrees to what I say, which isn't wrong by the way. After

all, she is pregnant now. Even if she doesn't think about herself, she has to think about the baby in her

womb.'

Zed felt relieved on hearing her agree, and he let her know the same.

"I'm glad you feel that way, Jean." Zed reached out his hand and patted Jean's hair. "Now, tell me, were

you scared? Are you okay?"

"Yes, sweety! I was really scared at that time. Zed, don't you feel like the Bais are a group of dump and

stupid people? I mean there's something definitely wrong with their brains. That's for sure! Gary had

just left after discussing things with us and Hanley immediately tried to kill Moore! It's an outrage!" Jean

was furious about the whole affair and Zed felt the same.

When he heard her words and saw that her face was flushed because of her anger, he replied coldly,"I

am not going to let him get away with this. You were inside the car too and Moore was a guest of the

Qis. And he still tried to hurt the pair of you. If Gary doesn't deal with him, then I will!"

"Zed, dear. You are so amazing!" Jean became excited when she saw that Zed wanted revenge for her.

The thought was both exciting as well as naughty for her.

Rarely did she ever praise Zed for anything and therefore, Zed was both a little surprised, and quite

embarrassed when he heard the sentence.

"Moore is still getting an anti-inflammation drip. Are you hungry? How about I take you out for some

food? There's a restaurant nearby." Zed asked when he noticed that Jean looked a little paler than

usual.

"Yes. Okay!" Jean immediately nodded in excitement. "You know what? I have been hungry for quite a

few hours, but I was so worried about Moore that I forgot everything and did not dare leave him alone

lest he need something."

"Little fool, if you are hungry, you can ask Toby to bring some food for you," Zed scolded her

affectionately for her lack of common sense. Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.

"Toby was also injured, Zed." Jean chided him for his lack of thoughtfulness in return,"I asked him to

deal with his wounds first." She stuck out her tongue naughtily and shyly said,"You do know there were

three people sitting in the car, don't you? It was only I who did not get injured!" Something seemed to

dawn on Jean and she asked,"Zed, don't you think that God treats me very well?"

"Yes. You are really lucky and it seems as if God loves you a lot. You've had several narrow escapes

now." Zed agreed with Jean. But later, he thought of something and his face turned gloomy.

'Jean certainly would have been injured if it wasn't for Moore. He protected her.

Therefore, I have to talk with Gary and deal with this matter.'

Zed took her hand and walked outside the hospital, leading her to a restaurant. There, he ordered quite

a lot of dishes for her and it was clear that she was hungry. She gobbled all of them up!

Seeing that Jean was fine and had a good appetite, Zed was finally relieved.

After she had finished eating, Zed paid the bill and walked back to the hospital with two bentos in his

hand.

He had had them packed to give them to Toby and Moore. As soon as he handed them over, Jean took

her hand and dragged him outside.

"What's wrong, Jean? Why have you brought me here in this corridor?" Zed asked with a puzzled look.

He had originally planned to talk with Moore for a while. But Jean had suddenly taken him outside and

he was confused about the reason.

"Since we are now in the hospital, could you accompany as I go and see him?" Jean looked at Zed and

hesitatingly asked, as if she was afraid that he might refuse.

From the expressions on her face, Zed clearly understood the identity of the person she wanted to

meet and he agreed instantly,"Okay, we'll go and see him."

There is no way a person can escape the truth. One day, everyone has to face it, no matter how hard it

is.

Since Jean had found out the truth about her mother's death, and now, it was time to tell Henry.

Zed and Jean arrived quickly near Henry's ward. Standing in front of the door, Jean took a deep breath

and reached out to open the door.

Hearing the noise of the creaking doorframe, Henry turned around in surprise. It was shocking for him

to see Zed and Jean there.

Then suddenly, he seemed to think of something and his face immediately became excited and

hopeful. He asked with a trembling voice,"Jean, are you here to visit me?"

'NONSENSE!' Jean rolled her eyes as soon as she heard the hopeful question. She was thinking,

'Obviously we come here to find you, even if we don't want to visit you!'

"I want to tell you something!" Jean walked over to Henry, and indifferently replied to his question,

completely ignoring the expectations splashed across his face.

"Okay." Henry nodded quickly, but in confusion.

"It's about my mother. I think it is necessary to let you know the truth about her death," Jean said slowly

with her eyes fixed on Henry's face.

The topic seemed to awaken some old latent flame inside Henry, whose face turned gloomy and

annoyed. "That was so many years ago. Don't you think there is no need to talk about it anymore?"

"No. I don't think so, and neither should you!" After saying that, Jean took out her mobile phone and

quickly dialled someone.

After talking on the phone for a few while, she hung up peacefully and leisurely looked at Henry who

was still looking at her in confusion.

"Who did you call?" He couldn't help it and finally asked.

"She will be here soon, and then you will know what really happened that day." Jean deliberately spoke

cryptically, and then looked at Zed who was standing next to her. "Zed, this may take a while. You can

go to the car and wait for me there."

She knew that Zed didn't want to be there at the moment and she made it easy for him to leave.

"It doesn't matter. I want to accompany you." Zed held Jean's hand gently and smiled.

His words made her feel happy and wanted and a bright smile appeared across her face. Resting her

head on his shoulder, she hugged him tight. Seeing the intimate scene, Henry was moved and tried to

make up again.

"Jean, you are my only daughter now. Please forgive me, okay? I will try to make up for the mistakes I

made before…"
