EPISODE 27 Gossiping wolves
MOON STONE PACK
Hazel shook her head in disagreement. She wasn’t going to spill their names even though she knew those wolves background.
“There won’t be need going after them.” She mumbled.
“I know those wolves, Julius.” Brianna blurted out causing Hazel to look up at them.
“Who are they?!” Julius demanded.
Brianna looked away from Hazel, ignoring her eyes pleading to not say anything to the beta. Although she was surprised Brianna knew those wolves.
“Eva, Ava and Arya.” Brianna replied.
Julius forehead creased. “The triplet?”
“Yes. They are the new trainees at the infirmary. I heard them gossiping about your wedding. I even saw Hazel walking away after listening to them.” Brianna answered, a deep frown grazing her expression.
“You saw me?” Hazel asked.
Brianna nodded. “Those girls are cunning wolves. I can’t believe they could talk bad about you after you tried to help them get a spot in the infirmary. The Theta didn’t want those girls but you did your best to help. So ungrateful bitches.” Brianna hissed.
“I won’t let it slide.” Julius clenched his fists. He was furious, knowing that they would have said much things about his mate to other wolves too.
“I made a report to the theta and she tried calling the alpha but he didn’t pick up his phone. I don’t know if they would have discussed it now.” Briana sighed.
When the theta called the alpha, he was busy with Allison the witch of Maridom at the pool.
“I’ll be right back. Take care of her.” Julius grabbed his jacket on the couch.
“Make sure you deal with those wolves!” Brianna said loudly.
“Julius-” Hazel called him but her mate was already out slamming the door in the process. “You should stop him, Brianna.” She said.
“I won’t stop him even if I have the chance to do so. Those wolves deserve whatever punishment they would get from the alpha for making you feel this way. They are just jealous of you!” Brianna hissed out.
“It doesn’t make any sense. Calling you a gold digger is the worse thing. They have no idea about what you have been through your whole life.” Meagan helped Hazel wipe her tears.
“If only I didn’t lose my parents at an early age. If only I didn’t have to depend on the pack resources to get a formal education. If only I have had things easy in life then they won’t have said those words about me.” Hazel sobbed.
“Come on Hazel, don’t think like that. You have tried your best for the pack. I mean, you are doing a good job at the infirmary, training wolves and even encouraging them to get a formal education. Do I need to list them all to you before knowing that you are nothing but a blessing to moon stone pack?” Brianna stood at akimbo.
“You are not pretentious. Hazel, you are not a gold digger. You have been my best friend for more than fifteen years now, if you are a gold digger then I don’t think we would have come this far together.” Meagan said in a calm tone.
“Exactly!” Brianna snapped her fingers.
“You never even accepted things from me when we were little. You always save up from the money you got from your pack just so you won’t go begging for things from our roommates. You took on part time jobs in college even when your alpha gave the assurance that your expenses are covered. You are the reason why I grew up to love your kind. So you shouldn’t let what they say about you get into your head. Forget about gossip and focus on the big day tomorrow.” Meagan gave her best friend’s hand a small squeeze.
“Look, we are all having a good time because of you. You have planned this event so well with the party planners. And I am sure the guests are so happy for you and Julius.” Brianna sighed as she sat on the couch.
“Please don’t let anyone ruin your wedding. You have worked so hard to plan this event so you should make it a memorable one for yourself.” Megan said with sincerity in her tone.
“Forget those wolves! Everything they said about you is wrong!” Brianna added.
“You deserve all the happiness, Hazel.” Meagan assured her best friend with a smile.
Hazel turned to face Meagan and they embraced each other. “Please don’t cry.” Meagan pat her back gently.
Brianna left for the kitchen to grab a brush and parker to clean the floor full of soaked and crumbled tissue paper.
“The spirit bride will haunt those wolves down. I hope they don’t show their faces at the wedding or else I will claw at their faces.” Brianna swept the floor.
Meagan withdrew from the embrace after Hazel calmed down.
“What would be their punishment?” Meagan asked Brianna.
“Nothing really serious.” Brianna answered.
“What?” Meagan asked.
“Since they are still young wolves, they will write an apology letter to her, community service for probably two weeks and the Gammas would scold them.” Brianna answered.
“That should be enough to make up for what they have done. Although I wish they didn’t have to gossip about my best friend.” Meagan sighed.
Hazel sniffed. “Thank you, Brianna for sticking up for me.”
“Listen Hazel, I wish you can always be more open up to Julius about whatever you are going through. You can’t keep things to yourself because he is your mate.” Brianna replied.
Meagan shook her head in agreement. “You are right, Brianna.”
“And what if Meagan wasn’t here to get you to open up? We won’t have been able to know what went wrong.” Brianna itched the bridge of her nose.
“She would have opened up to you guys but it might take a long time.” Meagan replied.
Hazel looked at her best friend. “I am changing. Meagan, trust me, I tell Julius almost everything. I just couldn’t-”
Meagan interrupted her. “It’s alright. I understand you.” She mumbled.
“Thank you, Meagan for always being there for me.” Hazel managed a smile on her face.
“Cheer up, best friend.” Meagan smiled.
“Can we have dinner now?” Brianna said loudly on her way to the kitchen.
“We’ll have to prepare something.” Hazel replied.
“No, they won’t be any need to cook anything. I found food in the refrigerator. I think Julius ordered some from the pack house.” Brianna said.
“We should eat.” Hazel said, facing her best friend.
Meagan nodded. And they stood up from the couch, holding each other hands as they walked to the kitchen.C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.
