EPISODE 11
THEME: He is not a rogue
DONIA KINGDOM
(Alpha King Sky’s Point Of View)
I mind linked Kelvin, the fiercest wolf who I had ordered to lead a set of warrior wolves to Crescent pack. “Kelvin.. can you hear me?” I requested.
“Yes.. I can hear you clearly my alpha king.” Kevin answered in respect.
“Kelvin, is everything okay?” I demanded.
“Yes my alpha king, everything is fine.” Kelvin replied.
“So what’s the situation of things?” I asked.
“No signs of rogues anywhere and our men are still stationed around the territory.” Kelvin responded.
“Always take turns in watching the territory till I come around. And tell no one about my arrival.” I instructed.
“What about the Gamma of Crescent pack?” Kelvin asked.
“I’ll talk to you when I get to the borders of Crescent pack so you can -” My intended words was disrupted when I groaned out in pain after I felt this sharp pain on my limp. I stopped on track when I realized that my mate was in pain too.
“Your Highness!” Kelvin screamed out through the link.
I felt another pain on my side. Damn it! What are they doing to her?! My wolf howled into the air. The link with kelvin got disconnected when another sharp pain waved through me. Another mournful cry from my pained wolf and the other wolves stopped on track. The pain was horrid, my chest beating fast while I managed to keep on walking slowly to gather up more strength. I need to be strong for my mate. I can’t pass out on this mission to save my mate.
The other wolves followed behind me silently and I tried mind linking Kelvin again. “My alpha king, are you alright?” Kelvin demanded in a concerned tone.
“Yes.. I am fine but I don’t think my mate is alright. She must also be in pains. Bring the Gamma to the borders now!” I snapped in a commanding tone. We don’t have any time to waste anymore.
“Yes alpha king!” He replied and the link got disconnected.
I stretched out my limps, preparing for the long run to Crescent pack. I have to get there before dawn. I signaled to the other wolves to get ready with a low howl. They lowered their heads in respect before we all kicked off at a fast speed. My wolf was the fastest as the alpha and all we wanted was to just save our mate.
************
Finally we arrived at our destination in the morning. It took us few minutes to wear our clothes which we had tied to our ankles before transforming into wolves. I could hear voices close by and I used my keen sense of hearing to hear the words clearly.
“Why on earth did you bring me out here?!” That must be the gamma of crescent pack.
“Will you please calm down Gamma?” I heard Kelvin’s voice this time.
“First you searched the alpha’s study and now you brought me out here to do what?!” The gamma demanded in a raised tone.
“I was trying to find clue that might lead us to the one who invaded your pack. I am only working on the orders of the alpha king.” Kelvin replied.
Yeah! I asked Kelvin to search alpha Zion’s study to see if he would find anything, any clue which may lead us to the enemy.
“What are we doing out here?” The Gamma lowered his voice.
“You’ll find out soon.” Kelvin answered.
I told Kelvin not to tell anyone about my arrival. Why? I don’t trust the Gamma of Crescent pack. I mean who knows? He might know something too since he was late alpha Zion’s best friend.
The wolves and I busted out of the thick forest into the open field where Kelvin and the Gamma of Crescent pack stood waiting for us.
“Oh! You are here my alpha king.” Kelvin bowed immediately his dark eyes met mine.
“The alpha king?” The Gamma’s eyes met mine too and he bowed sharply when I got closer to them.
“Rise.” I instructed.
“Good morning, alpha king Sky. I am Gamma Albert of Crescent Pack.” He introduced himself.
I nodded slowly. “I asked Kelvin to bring you here. I am sorry about what happened to your alpha and to your pack.”
Gamma Albert bowed slightly. “It is good to have you in our pack, alpha king Sky and thank you for sending out your men to protect our pack. They are all doing a great job.”
I turned to face Kelvin. “What did you find?” I asked.
“I found a note in the late alpha’s study.” Kelvin handed me the note.
“The invaders didn’t leave any sign of how we can find them?” I turned slightly and directed the question at Gamma Albert.
“They are rogues.” Gamma Albert answered.
“You should know better Albert that rogues are really good at what they do. They walk around without letting anyone figure their scents and they can be deadly. Are you sure the invaders are rogues?” I said to the Gamma before focusing on the note Kelvin handed to me.Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.
“You gave me your word that you would help me take back what belongs to me but you backed out of our mission.” I read out loudly. The date on the note was dated back to about two years ago.
“This note won’t lead us anywhere.” I mumbled.
“My alpha king-” Kelvin was cut off by me.
“I sent you here to find clues but you found nothing! A mere note won’t help me find her!” I growled out.
“Forgive me my alpha king.” Kelvin apologized with his head bowed.
I turned away from Kelvin. It is not his fault that all of this is happening but I was deeply concerned about my mate because my wolf is deeply troubled. If these invaders are truly rogues then I don’t even want to bring myself to imagine what this fucking rogues might be doing to my mate right now. I tried to calm my wolf that our mate would be fine because I haven’t felt any pain after the previous ones.
‘She is a witch, what if she has blocked out every chance of you feeling her pain with her powers?’ My wolf panicked.
Realization hit me after my wolf raised the bothersome question. Damn it! That’s true! Mia is a witch and she could use her powers or even alpha strength to stop me as her mate from feeling her pains. And knowing this made me and my wolf become more desperate to find our mate as soon as possible
I went to the Gamma Albert. “What do you know about these rogues?” I asked.
“They came for her… they wanted only her.” Beta Albert answered.
“Bloody rogues!” I cursed under my breath.
“But just one isn’t a rogue.” Beta Albert added sharply.
My eyebrows snapped together. “What do you mean?” I asked.
“The wolf that led the rogues wasn’t a rogue.” Beta Albert responded.
“What is he?” I demanded with a clenched fist.
“I could smell the royal blood in his veins.” Beta Albert replied.
I was trying so hard to control my anger and I frowned deeply at his words. “A royal blood? Are you saying he is someone from the palace?” I questioned frantically. This is very complicated.
“Maybe and maybe not. But what do you think? We only have one palace which is the Donja palace.” Gamma Albert replied.
“How does he look like?” I demanded sharply.
“I didn’t see his face because he had a mask on. I tried to pull it off when I picked a fight with him after he ripped off the head of my beta but he was just too strong.” Gamma Albert said in sad tone. The abduction of the alpha and death of the beta must be weighing the members down.
“Did he say anything to you? Something that may help us have a clue of who he is?” I asked.
“Yes.. he said a lot of things.” Gamma Albert responded.
I moved closer to the Gamma. “Tell me what you can remember… I want to know everything he said to you.” I demanded with a screwed up face
“He said that taking alpha Mia would bring you to him. He is aware that she is your mate.” Beta Albert said.
“Why didn’t you tell me these things when I questioned you about the incident?” Kelvin asked him.
“I was really expecting the alpha king because I already know that he would come around in a bid to find his mate. So I wanted the alpha king to hear everything from me.” Gamma Albert responded with a stern look at Kelvin.
“What else do you know?” I asked.
“Well he is waiting for you to come and save her.” Gamma Albert replied.
My jaw tightened. “Do you know where I can find him?” I asked again.
Gamma Albert shook his head. “Well I think I have a location.” He grinned at me.
I found it weird. This wolf is acting suspicious and I can’t trust him. “What? You know where to find the enemy?” Kelvin gasped in shock.
I folded my arms and studied the Gamma. “Speak. Tell me where I can find this royal blood. I am listening.”
“I don’t know the location exactly but I only have a clue.” Gamma Albert said.
“So… tell me what clue you have so I can save my mate and bring back your alpha.” I gritted my teeth with a serious face.
Gamma Albert shook his head in disagreement. “I will only tell you the location and clue if you agree to come with me to our pack and know the truth.”
My eyebrows snapped together in confusion. “What truth?” I asked.
“Alpha king Sky, you can’t just set off to find the one who captured your mate. You need to know the whole truth of this matter.” Gamma Albert smirked.
My expression hardened. “I can compel you to tell me everything.” I gritted my teeth.
Gamma Albert let out a chuckle. “Compelling me won’t solve this whole situation.”
“I don’t have time for talks!” I growled at the Gamma. I find him strange. What if he knows about this abduction?
“I agree with you. You are my alpha king but I would like to proof the late alpha’s innocence in this situation.” Gamma Albert said in a calm tone..
“What are you talking about?” I frowned deeply.
“There are so many things you need to know before setting off to save your mate.” Gamma Albert insisted.
I exchanged glances with Kelvin. “Come with me your highness and I will reveal everything to you.” And this time Gamma Albert’s voice pleaded with me.
What truth do I need to know that would clear the late alpha’s innocence? The royal blood? Can it be about him? Of course! I should find out who this royal blood is since Mia already predicted that the enemy is close to me.
I shook my head in agreement. “If I don’t find any clue that will lead me to the one who took your alpha then I won’t hesitate to rip off your head.” I threatened.
Gamma Albert nodded in agreement. “You can do whatever it is you want to do with me if you don’t find any clue to finding your mate.” Gamma Albert bowed his head.
“Okay, Gamma Albert lead the way.” I ordered.
Whatever this Gamma wants to tell me, I hope it is good enough to help me to find my mate. I though within.
