Chapter 904
Chapter 904
Franklin stared at her in amazement, even though she was wearing a bulky raincoat and no makeup, she was still breathtakingly beautiful! He smiled at her and said, "Are you ready to catch me?"
Sylvia opened her arms towards him and held onto the ladder tightly with both feet.
However, Franklin did not jump towards her position but instead jumped to the position below hers.
He looked up at her and said, "How could | let you risk catching me?"
He wasn't a three-year-old child in terms of height or weight. He would rather fall himself than let Sylvia take the risk. Sylvia gave him a playful look and said, "Let's go."
The ladder slowly retracted into the plane.
Everyone snapped out of their shock. Nelson couldn't believe what he had just witnessed as he stared at the slowly closing cabin door across from him. For a moment he muttered to himself, "Too cool... too handsome."
Now he finally believed that women can be just as impressive as men when it comes to being cool under pressure. All he could think about now was Sylvia's perfect posture when she leaped like a goddess earlier on.
So cool!
His admiration for Sylvia right now is endless.
"Miss Andrews has always been this amazing." Jasper looked over at Franklin and Sylvia's backs as they entered the opposite plane with a faint smile on his lips.
Master Franklin is also so handsome; always accompanying Miss Andrews by her side.
Once inside the plane, Sylvia immediately rushed over to check on the unconscious boy lying there on his stomach. She began checking his pulse which seemed almost non-existent while his skin had turned blueish-purple color with limbs feeling cold to touch along with dilated pupils.
"Dr. Sylvia, I'm afraid it's too late for him." The emergency doctor onboard wiped off beads of sweat from his forehead having done everything possible for first aid treatment already.
Sylvia glanced over at an infrared radiation device nearby which was set up near where they were seated, "Set it up to maximum level."
Even though it was warm inside due heating system installed but they still brought along many insulation devices for warmth during their journey including this infrared radiation device used specifically for warming bodies back up again after hypothermia sets in.
The doctor had already placed hot water bags under armpits & between legs trying hard keep body temperature stable while administering saline solution through IV drip using warm saline solution around 42 degrees Celsius (107 Fahrenheit).
With all these measures taken, Sylvia bent down preparing herself to give artificial respiration since the patient needed immediate attention before anything else could be done.
"What are you doing?" Franklin asked startled by what Sylvia intended doing next. "He needs artificial respiration,” replied Sylvia, looking back up into Franklin's eyes . "I'll do it," replied Franklin walking over beside them starting CPR technique.
Watching Franklin's focused expression, Sylvia couldn't help but feel moved. She knew this man wasn't one who only spoke empty words, but someone who truly possessed ability and responsibility .
After spending several long hours aboard, airplane filled with tension, the group finally arrived safely in Aettosa. The boy received medical treatment upon arrival. Sylvia and Franklin left hospital together only meeting Nelson and Jasper outside later on.
"Miss Andrews! You're safe!" exclaimed Nelson happily .
"Thank you all for your concern," replied Sylvia smiling back warmly.
Jasper waved goodbye saying, "Mr. Franklin, welcome home!"
"Thank you, everyone," replied Franklin, smiling back graciously.
“Artificial respiration." Sylvia looked calmly at him, thinking that even at this time, this man was still jealous.
"I'll do it." Franklin took off his raincoat and jacket, rolled up his sleeves to reveal his strong arms. "Leave it to me."Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.
At this point, the emergency doctor who followed them had already hung an IV for the teenager and hurriedly said, "Let me do it, let me do it.”
He bent down to help the young man breathe artificially.
"I'll do chest compressions," Sylvia said as she began pressing on the young man’s chest. She used a lot of force and repeated the same action over and over again.
The doctor worked closely with her.
Franklin watched as sweat dripped from Sylvia's forehead and slid down her cheeks. CPR was very physically demanding. He had also learned some of these methods before. "Let me take over for a while so you can rest," he said.
Sylvia shook her head. "No need, | can still go on." She continued without interruption because she feared that changing personnel suddenly would reduce its effectiveness. "Trust me; | can handle this," Franklin grabbed her arm firmly. "This is about saving lives; I'm not joking around."
His deep-set eyes shone brightly while Sylvia's eyes flickered slightly with exhaustion since she had been doing CPR for thirty minutes straight now.
The emergency doctor also did artificial respiration for thirty minutes in such a hypothermic situation where reviving consciousness would be difficult, especially when there was severe hypothermia involved.
Franklin's movements were unexpectedly professional; he exerted great strength in each compression movement which allowed Sylvia to hold onto the young boy's wrist all along while monitoring his pulse rate.
It wasn't clear how long they'd been working together but finally when there was a faint pulse detected by both of them simultaneously after so many attempts. They both breathed out sighs of relief.
“He regained consciousness," Sylvia smiled with relief once she saw that faint pulse come back alive again.
Meanwhile, Franklin felt relieved too, since he could feel that weak heartbeat gradually returning under his palm, though barely discernible yet...
But...
The emergency doctor who had been doing artificial respiration all along collapsed on the ground at that moment due to exhaustion...
He was really tired — almost paralyzed by fatigue — wondering if he'd have psychological trauma from performing artificial respiration ever again...
Sylvia handed him a glass of water saying. "Drink some water slowly."
Recovering heart rate was only one step; next they needed to continue helping the teenager regain body temperature... They wrapped him up tightly in warm blankets warmed earlier until he started feeling warmer inside out...
The warm saline solution continued to flow into his body.
After taking a break, Sylvia went to feel the boy's heartbeat again. "It's slowly recovering. But..."
She curiously touched the boy's ribs and looked at Franklin with confusion. "How much force did you use?"
Franklin was taken aback. "What do you mean?"
"Two of his ribs are broken." Sylvia touched the boy's ribs with a puzzled expression on her face. "Luckily, they're not all broken, or else..."
Ahint of embarrassment flashed across Franklin's handsome face; he had never felt so embarrassed before. He was usually composed and serious.
He was just eager to save someone, that's all... but he didn’t want to explain himself because that would be like covering up his mistake.
He coughed twice and pretended to look outside at the scenery instead. The sky was already getting brighter as they got closer to Larro; it seemed like that emergency rescue in the middle of the night during a flash flood had been nothing more than a dream.
"Two broken ribs don't matter if we can save him." Sylvia came to his rescue by holding Franklin's big hand with her soft little one and wiping sweat off his forehead with her other hand. "You're amazing for saving him."
Franklin was stunned by her childlike tone but strangely happy inside.
"It wasn't just me; you also helped along with this doctor - we saved him together."
The plane landed smoothly on top of Larro First Hospital Surgery Building finally after some time. Many medical staff members were already waiting there along with stretchers ready for them all.
Everyone orderly carried these boys away and sent them into emergency rooms for systematic treatment.
Not only that, but also family members of these boys rushed over from every direction towards the hospital as well. Paul arrived first among them all.
If it weren't for how miserable-looking his younger brother Romeo currently appeared right now, Paul would have slapped him hard enough until he died from anger.
“Are you stupid? What kind of fun is there in going deep into those mountains? Do you hate living so much?" “If you dare run out again next time, wait until | break your legs!"
“Romeo, this time you were lucky enough to meet Miss Andrews; what about next time? God can't always favor you forever nor can Miss Andrews always save your life."
Romeo obediently lay on the hospital bed listening while Paul scolded him furiously.
Listening, Paul looked at Romeo with tears in his eyes. Paul thought he had been too harsh and felt guilty. He almost killed his brother with his anger.
"Was | too much?" he wondered to himself.
As he was silently reproaching himself, Romeo suddenly jumped on him and hugged him tightly. "Brother, | almost lost you! | almost couldn't hear you scold me anymore. Please scold me some more so that | can remember it well."
Paul chuckled at Romeo's words and gently patted his back. "Alright, let's be obedient from now on. We're the only two brothers left in our family... | have to protect you no matter what."
After saying this, Paul stood up and said to Romeo, "Rest well for now; we owe Miss Andrews a lot for saving your life. I'll come back later to keep you company.”
He then walked out of the hospital room and stopped a nurse outside the door asking her where Dr. Sylvia was. "She's in the lobby dealing with some annoying family members," sighed the nurse holding a tray of medicine cups. “What do you mean?" asked Paul confusedly as he furrowed his brows.
"You'll see when you get there; people these days are just so rude," replied the nurse before walking away with her tray of medicine cups.
Paul walked towards the lobby where there were nurses stationed on each floor leading up to it. As he approached closer, he heard loud voices arguing inside.
"You must compensate us! If it weren't for your brother, my son wouldn't have been taken to such a terrible place risking his life!" shouted one parent.
“If anything happens to my son because of this incident, | will sue all of you!" yelled another parent. “What kind of person is your brother? Don't tell me that none of you know about it?" screamed yet another parent accusingly.
Paul quickened his pace until finally entering into the lobby where several middle-aged men ancwomneo

Franklin remained expressionless but showed impatience through sharp glares from time-to-time
James' involvement did hold some responsibility regarding this incident but not enough for these parents’ accusations which made Franklin want nothing more than finding security guards who could throw them out immediately.
Sylvia stood tall beside Franklin, wearing her white coat as if she hadn't heard any insults thrown their way. After listening for a while, Paul finally understood that these were the parents of those teenagers.
