After divorce, Ex-wife Revealed Identities

Chapter 897

Chapter 897 Niamh was now both angry and frustrated, but she didn't dare to complain about Chaya in front of Clare and everyone else. Otherwise, wouldn't that be admitting guilt? She bit her lip and looked at Clare eagerly. "Uncle, please help us. We really just wanted to see the patient and take care of him. We had no other intentions." "No other intentions? Then why did you run away? You could have just said you wanted to help," the nurse glared at them without hesitation. "I think you two are trying to harm the patient." The doctor on duty was also very angry. "What's going on, Mr. Hipps? Do you know these two women?" Clare's handsome face showed anger and embarrassment; these two were not easy to deal with! What were they doing running into the ward like that? But soon enough, security came with everyone into the monitoring room. Niamh and Chaya were also pushed into the monitoring room by security. The sisters’ faces turned pale and ugly as Chaya stared intently at the computer screen; she was so angry that her face turned red - she never thought there would be surveillance in an intensive care unit. Don't patients have any privacy? Why do they need surveillance? Niamh clutched onto Chaya's sleeve fearfully; she almost blurted out what would happen if they got caught. But she held back. She trembled beside Chaya while feeling like a cat clawing at her insides. Chaya glanced over at the computer screen where a cup of hot water sat next to it; one of the guards who managed surveillance had just poured it out moments ago - steam still rising from it. With determination in her heart, Chaya gritted her teeth before suddenly kicking towards it. "Ouch!" Her entire body lunged forward towards that cup of hot water as if propelled by some unseen force until finally slamming against a nearby table with both arms flailing wildly sending scalding hot water splashing all over onto mainframe monitor! Aloud crash followed by sizzling sounds echoed throughout their surroundings as snowflakes flickered across their screens before everything went black - shutting down completely! The security guard in charge of monitoring was furious as he glared wide-eyed. "What happened? The computer is broken now!" He quickly tried restarting several times but nothing worked; he even opened up its casing only find out later on how much damage had been done after seeing all circuits burnt beyond repair... This kind of thing happening during his shift meant trouble for him! If hospital authorities found out about this incident, then he'd be held responsible for damages caused which meant having pay compensation fees despite being only lowly-paid guard earning few thousand dollars per month... He grew angrier and hastily opened the computer case, wiping away the water stains inside. As he wiped, he angrily shouted at Chaya, "I think you did it on purpose. You're too much!" Clare was also angry. "Are you afraid we'll see the surveillance footage so you purposely broke the computer?" Chaya shook her head frantically like a tambourine and looked terrified. "Uncle, no, I really didn't do it." Niamh quickly helped her sister up from the ground who was in a sorry state and said, "She definitely didn't do it on purpose. She was wearing high heels and accidentally twisted her foot." "Do you two think I'm stupid? Do whatever you want with me?" Clare sneered at their poor performance. Her heart chilled at the thought that if the nurse hadn't discovered them earlier, would something terrible have happened to Uncle? He never expected his own family members would be capable of such malicious acts. Rage surged within him as he glared furiously at both sisters. "Do either of you have anything else to say?" "No! It really was an accident! We didn't do anything bad in ICU! Please believe us!" Niamh trembled as she stood up from the ground pitifully looking towards Clare. "Breaking a computer so blatantly makes it hard for me to believe,” Clare's angry voice almost squeezed through her teeth. Chaya suppressed her panic as she watched security clean up their destroyed computer without showing any signs of worry or fear. The computer had fallen apart; surveillance footage had been destroyed. No one saw what they did inside ICU... So there wasn't any evidence against them; all they needed to do now was deny everything! With this realization came a sense of calmness that flashed across Niamh's face as she lifted her head confidently saying. "Uncle Clare, | know that neither my sister nor myself are your favorite people but we truly went into ICU just wanting to take care of the patient without any intention of harming him." Niamh nodded while saying. "Yes yes yes... we only wanted to take care of him in ICU... we never intended harm." "Whether or not | believe either one of your stories will depend on what is seen on surveillance footage." Suddenly a cold voice sounded from outside monitoring room door causing everyone present turned their heads towards its direction simultaneously. As the tall figure stood straight at the door, dressed in a white lab coat with her hands in her pockets, she looked cold and aloof. Her face was mesmerizing and dazzling under the light. "Sylvia?" Chaya glared at the woman through gritted teeth. "The computer is broken now, and we can't even see anything on the surveillance cameras. Look!" She pointed to the security guard who was tinkering with the computer, a hint of smugness flashing in her eyes. "What can you do when the computer is broken?" Sylvia ignored her and walked over to look at the computer screen. She said to the security guard who was sweating profusely from fixing it, "Excuse me sir, let me take a look." After hearing Sylvia's words, he immediately stepped aside. Sylvia squatted down and moved the mainframe of that computer onto a table. She looked at all those parts inside that still had residual water stains on them. A hint of coldness flashed across her eyes as she took out a screwdriver from one side and started disassembling everything bit by bit — hard drives, CPUs, fans — all were removed one by one. While dismantling each part piece by piece using tissues to wipe them clean as she went along; she turned around to say something to a nurse. "Go get me a hair dryer from VIP ward." The nurse quickly replied, "Okay! I'll go get it right now.” And then he ran off immediately after turning around. Oh my god! As soon as Dr. Sylvia appeared on scene, everyone felt like there wasn't anything that couldn't be done successfully with her here! Chaya cursed inwardly while thinking about how much of an ass-kisser the nurse was being for getting just getting hair dryer? It's still broken no matter what! "I don't believe it," Chaya muttered under breath while watching Sylvia work away diligently before adding sarcastically. "You're just trying too hard!" Even Niamh thought it impossible for this woman would be able fix computers which men couldn't even handle? It's ridiculous... A few minutes later when the nurse came back carrying the hair dryer; she handed it over directly into Sylvia's hand. The latter took it before starting blowing cold air onto those parts using hairdryer until they were dry enough for installation back into their respective slots within PC case again. In silence monitoring room only sound heard was humming noise coming out from blow-dryer machine being used by Sylvia. Gradually after drying each part thoroughly one-by-one; she began installing everything back together once more until finally pressing power button again... Chaya's facial muscles twitched slightly - could this really have been fixed so easily? Just blow-drying everything made things work again? How could that be possible? Even Niamh wore expression showing amusement waiting eagerly for moment when Sylvie would fail miserably - because how could anyone possibly repair such complex machinery so easily without any prior experience or knowledge whatsoever? The sound of the computer hummed to life, and in the next second! The screen lit up! Everyone stared at this scene with wide eyes. Sylvia sat in front of the computer, her fingers flying across the keyboard so fast that it was almost impossible to see. After a while, the monitor displayed a clear image of Chaya's and Niamh's faces. They both left the rest room and headed straight for the bathroom. After staying in there for a while, they came out wearing their nurse uniforms and went into ICU ward. Once inside, the monitor switched to show footage from inside ICU ward.
