A Successful Career After Divorce

Chapter 10 Get Out

“Ranita…” The man’s voice was hoarse and low, flowing gently in her ear. Ranita’s heart skipped a beat. She dared not breathe too heavily, just staring foolishly at the man.

Brendon had absolute control over her.

A long kiss made her dizzy and unable to think.

“Brendon… you’re drunk…” At first, Ranita tried to maintain some rationality. “Get up, I need to rest.”Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

After all, they were no longer what they used to be.

They shouldn’t do intimate things anymore.

But the man seemed not to have heard her. One strong arm wrapped around her waist and his kisses became dominant and fierce.

In a daze, she felt a corner of her lip bitten painfully.

“Brendon! Let me go!” Ranita pushed his hand away, trying to break free from his embrace. But the alcohol-controlled man clearly couldn’t reason with her.

He looked down at Ranita from above with eyes that were tender yet lingering after losing their coldness.

Who was he looking at through her?

The answer was about to come out.

Ranita’s eyes turned red as if filled with sand in a basket that hurt so much she couldn’t catch her breath.

“Ranita… I feel uncomfortable…” His face rubbed against hers; it was hot and carried a strong smell of alcohol as he kissed on the nape of neck carefully.

Ranita pushed several times but it was futile against Brendon’s strength.

The night grew deep with heavy dew outside while their usually tidy bedroom became messy everywhere; Brendon slept soundly while holding onto one of Ranita’s arms tightly.

However, Ranita’s mind remained awake. She stared at Brendon’s face for awhile before getting up slowly due to an ache in waist caused by the sleeping position.

She went into bathroom for showering which helped clear up some thoughts naturally such as what should she do next? She shouldn’t have done anything like this with Brendon, and how would Brendon react when he woke up tomorrow?

Would Brendon be angry or think less of her?

Brendon was drunk, but she was not!

“Ah!” Covering both sides of cheeks, Ranita regretted being too impulsive. How could she lose control like this! What should she do now?

Like sneaking mouse, Ranita escaped from bedroom quietly but suddenly Amiya’s voice came behind, “Ranita!”

Startled, Ranita almost fell down because legs were already weak. Then, a heavy porcelain cup hit hard on Ranita’s leg!

It hurt so much!

“Mrs. Stuart…” Ranita tried to steady herself and speak, but she noticed Amiya staring at her neck. Embarrassed, Ranita pulled at her robe.

Brendon was strong and her skin was tender; even a slight touch left a red mark.

“Hehe! Ranita, you have no shame! You’ve already divorced Brendon and yet you still have the nerve to climb into his bed,” Amiya spoke without any politeness, glaring at her with disgust in her eyes.

The whole situation caught Ranita off guard. She didn’t expect it.

“Mrs. Stuart…” Ranita wanted to explain herself but Amiya didn’t give her the chance, “You don’t need to explain anything. I can see it with my own eyes!”

“I’m sorry, Mrs. Stuart!” Ranita lowered her head voluntarily. “It won’t happen again! I’ll go rest now.”

She wanted to calm things down because she knew that if she fought with Amiya, she would be the one who suffered in the end.

“Wait!” Amiya called out after her as she turned away from her. Her eyebrows raised as she spoke, “Since you’ve divorced Brendon, it’s not appropriate for you to stay here anymore! Your luggage is already by the door; take your things and leave now!”
