A Lifetime With You Chapter 8

Chapter 8

Selden met eyes with Damien, who was sitting in his car a distance away from the hospital entrance. A smile flashing at the same time, Selden looked away and walked back into the hospital. He only gave up on Ava before this because she was about to get married to Damien. Ava loved Damien a lot, and he thought he would never have a chance with her again

But now it seemed…

That there was still hope for him to win Ava’s heart. Damien stared at Selden’s back and tightened his grip on the steering wheel. What was that man’s relationship with Ava? They appeared intimate, and they were also chit-chatting as well as laughing. Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

What an eyesore!

Damien couldn’t believe that he actually waited for Ava outside the hospital like an idiot. The thought of this made him even angrier. It was rare for him to be in such a good mood and treat her well, but that woman actually had the guts to be so intimate with another man in front of him. Did she even remember that she was a married woman?

She really deserved to be punished! Damien tightened his grip on the steering wheel. He was about to start the car and drive home to get even with Ava when someone knocked on his car window. “Damien…” Beth was leaning against the car window with a smile on her face. “Why are you here? Are you here to pick me up?” She texted Damien before she came to the hospital. Damien frowned and said coldly, “I have something to do, so I’ll be leaving first.” Beth’s smile froze on her face. She grabbed the handle of the car door and said anxiously, “Damien, what are you going to do about the baby in my womb? It’s already two months old.” Only then did Damien turn to look at Beth. He said icily, “It’s your baby. What does it have to do with me?”

Beth’s expression changed a little, and she muttered, “But it’s also your baby…” Damien sneered, “Just get rid of it then.” After saying, he drove away… Leaving Beth standing rooted to the spot in a daze.

What did he mean?

Did he not care about his baby at all? How could he ask her to get rid of it just like that? Was it possible that he actually knew the truth about what happened that night? Damien didn’t have a good relationship with Ava, and he got involved in scandals with celebrities and models all the time. Seeing that Damien never refused any women’s advances, she secretly planned a chance encounter with him. She was thinking about having sex with him and then

pretending to be pregnant so that she could replace Ava as Damien’s wife. That night, she did succeed in entering Damien’s room. But he was sleeping so soundly that he didn’t even touch Beth. She had no choice but to take off her clothes and pretend that they had sex. After Damien woke up, she lied to him that he took the initiative to have sex with him when he was drunk. Damien didn’t talk much after hearing that, and Beth thought that he had believed her lie.

But now, it seemed like he might know the truth.

Beth really hoped that this wasn’t the case. If he knew the truth, why didn’t he call her bluff? No. Damien definitely didn’t know that he didn’t actually have sex with Beth. He was probably so indifferent because he didn’t like children. However, Beth heard that Damien’s mother had wanted a grandchild for a very long time. Since Damien wasn’t interested in her, she had no choice but to go and look for his mother! She believed that Karen wouldn’t ignore her! At the thought of this, Beth’s expression became a little less dark. She kept the prenatal checkup reports in her handbag and smiled triumphantly. Sooner or later, she would become the Radbury family’s daughter-in-law!

Ava’s ankle wasn’t too serious, but she couldn’t really walk well because of it. Hence, on the way home, she made a detour to the mall to buy a comfortable pair of flats. This way, it would be easier for her to walk to work the next day. After coming out of the mall, she had some food before heading home. By the time she arrived at Dahlia Garden Mansion, it was already evening… She still had enough time to read the reports she needed to memorize before tomorrow’s meeting Ava’s thoughts were running wild as she rang the doorbell. The housekeeper immediately opened the door for her. She then glanced at Ava with a strange expression. “What’s wrong?” Ava was confused.

The housekeeper looked into the living room. Ava followed the housekeeper’s gaze, and her heart skipped a beat.
