Chapter 498: Shut the Fuck Up!
Chapter 498: Shut the Fuck Up!
Victor whispers, "Mr. John, the doctor said it's very likely that the babies..."
"It's just that the chances of survival are small, but they alive!" John interrupts him and closes his eyes.
"I know my condition. I'm not going to live long, and destined to ... be childless."
"I want her to have children for the rest of her life. I've given a lot not for the babies not Louis. I don't
want her to be alone."
If one has on one to rely on and care about, life will be miserable.
He doesn't want his love to experience the lonely life he lived.
Victor gets him and doesn't say anything else.
Victor pulls some strings and contacts experienced gynaecologists in Country Y.
One of the gynecologists has a good relationship with Justin and tells him about it.
Justin sets aside the ongoing experiment and calls Louis.
"Louis, Lily's babies ... Are they really John's?"
"Just ask her!" In a bad mood, Louis says coldly.
He is already upset by what happened last night, and now Justin calls and mentions that woman!
"John is lucky. It's triplets." Justin sighs emotionally, "However, they might not live. John even invited
the doctors who serve the royal family of Country Y."
Hearing that, Louis gives up the idea of hanging up.
"Is it serious?"
"I think so. I heard that their chances of survival are very small. The doctor who examined her said she
needs the operation as soon as possible." Justin replies, "My friend went to see her and said she would
lose them."
As Justin says this, he can't help but feel pitiful. "John is out of luck. Alas, he's still in danger. Finally,
he's blessed with triplets but can't save them."
"He has everything. If he really dies, he won't have regrets." Louis sneers. "I never expect that we
would know each other at this age and living completely different places. This happened just because
of a woman!"
Oh what the hell!
"You hate him so much. Why don't you take Krislier Group back?" Justin smiles, "The medicine has
been developed and on offer. He must be begging for it to save his life, right? You can make a deal with
him."
"No need!"
Justin sighs. "I just want to try it on him to see if I can make a name for myself."
"..."
Justin teases, "Louis, do you think his children should call you Uncle Louis?"
"..."
Louis hangs up with a sullen face and adds Justin's number into the blacklist.
There are too many things in the company to deal with, leaving his mind no time to wander. He has a
busy day.
It isn't until eight or nine in the evening that he gets home from the office.
When Louis goes up the stairs, he turns around and the memory of the woman begging for help comes
back. Last night, kneeling in the rain stubbornly, she begged him.
Louis gets irritable, swipes his card and goes inside.
Waving its tail, Rich comes to him and looks at him eagerly.
"I'm busy. Go play yourself." Louis waves the dog away carelessly.
He has told David to take Rich away, but it is still here!
Louis brews coffee and just as he turns around, he sees Rich in front of him.
Now it has an ink-blue silk scarf in its mouth and keeps waving its tail at him.
"Where did you get it?" Louis takes the scarf and the style reminds him that Lily once wore it.
She took it back, but for some reason, it appears in his place again. Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
He can't get his eyes off the scarf. After a long time, he looks at the coffee in his right hand and sighs.
He wonders if he owes her too much last life and he needs to pay the debt in this life.
Louis unblocks Justin's phone number and calls him. "Justin, contact your most professional friends
and ask them to go to the hospital to see if they can save her babies."
"They don't just offer help to anybody. And it's not about how much you pay them."
Louis rubs his eyebrows and says, "Well, ask them. I owe them a favor."
"Quite a price." Justin clicks his tongue. "Is it for Ms. Lily, or her children to address you as Uncle
Louis?"
"Justin, shut the fuck up!" Louis says gloomily, "If there comes a day when I don't need you anymore,
I'll cut off your tongue, roast it on the fire and have you watch it!"
Justin stops joking and then hangs up.
...
Since Lily wakes up, at least four doctors come to the ward a day.
However, it isn't for John.
They are all gynaecologists, and every one of them would ask Lily about her pregnancy and give her a
thorough check.
This unsettles her and she asks them if there is anything wrong with her babies.
John comforts her, "The babies are fine. It's too hard for you to have triplets, so I called a few more
gynecologists to help."
"Really?" Lily knows that he won't lie to her, so she is relieved.
A few days later, another gynaecologist comes.
Lily thinks about Justin when she sees the doctor.
They have the same temperament, looking like researchers not doctors.
The doctor leaves after he finishes examining Lily.
The next day, he brings the medicine and says that he will inject it into Lily's belly.
Lily is a little panicked at first, but with John's encouragement, she undoes her clothes and let the
doctor do it.
After the injection, the doctor says to her, "The treatment will take a week. I will give you another jab
tomorrow."
The first jab makes Lily very uncomfortable. Feeling her chest stuffy, she can't sleep.
Despite his broken leg making him a patient, he comforts her to sleep.
After receiving the jabs for six days, Lily feels the babies' frequent kicking again.
It is like a fight's going on inside her, exhausting her.
When the doctor comes to finish the last shot and asks about Lily's feelings, Lily tells him honestly.
Hearing her out, the doctor finally beams. "The babies are very healthy. Ms. Lily, have a good rest.
Don't get emotional. Do you hear me?"
"Yes." Lily nodded. "Thank you."
"No problem."
After the doctor leaves the ward, Victor runs to him. "Thank you, doctor. The money is on your card. I'll
see you off."
"No need. You've paid a handsome wage." The doctor declines. "I'll get a cab. It'll get me to the airport
soon."
Now that the doctor is so determined, Victor gives up persuading him.
Out of the hospital, the doctor goes to the roadside to hail a taxi. He takes out his phone and dials a
number.
"How is it?"
"Of course, I nailed it." The young doctor says proudly, "The babies are very healthy. Am I awesome?"
Justin jeers, "Come on. Don't brag. You didn't make the medicine! This time, you earn two wages and
Louis owes you a favor. You are damn lucky."
The doctor says modestly, "Actually, I don't earn much. It's not enough to cover my research cost. I'm
curious. That woman is not pregnant with Louis' child. Why is he so attentive?"
And Louis even owes the doctor a favor.
Louis hardly makes such sacrifice for others. It is a good fortune for the doctor!
